okay, this is a quadraphonic crunchers dream. A P3 would even be able to deal with it, think Kremmen was contemplating to give it a go on a 16mb rammed machine.
----------------------------------------See previous screenshot and this running Old, New Rice and a HCC job side by side. Rice beats HCC hands down, to include the Page Faulting front: maybe knreed should set a maximum ram for crunchers.... anything over 128mb not eligible (oh oh here rushes in trouble )

Yes Diana G., it's because the gentlemen is using 6.2 alpha client which has a confirmed bug.

Thank you, Sekerob. I just got my first ones 2 hours ago, so I had to be sure.

The first of the 2 errors I've seen multiple times with 6.12, but not with the few I've done with 6.13. The second was reported once during original beta in April.

I just had 5 WU's (version 6.13) on the same machine error out with a DLL initialization error. Run time was 2-4.6 hours. Is this due to the memory leak issue or is there something I should do?

I just saw this project automatically added to my project list.
Unfortunately all processed results (a lot of processing hours) are in error. All these time could have been spend usefull on my other projects. So i de-selected this project from my list as fast as i could and aborted all active wu's from this project. Maybe in the future new projects should not be automatically added to your project list, but instead an email could be send. |

I have a couple workunits which are reissued, and I notice their deadline is over a week earlier than the original deadline. Specifically, a deadline of May 17, where alll the other hosts have a deadline of May 25 -- except for two who errored out and one other with a deadline May 17th.
Not a problem for me at the moment as I'm running exclusively WCG on this host. Later when I let other projects back in, it's possible the 2-day deadline would be a problem. I understand the need for speed on re-issued work, but perhaps it could be normalized to not be so much earlier than the original deadline? Or is it impossible for the scheduler to tell? |
