Got the first one and it has version number 6.12 (windows) and is predicted to run 8 hours.
----------------------------------------It will run the same number for everyone, no matter if a P3, P4 C2D, Quad, Dual Clover. The points algorithm logic is based on how many Units of Data can be completed within a Task for that fixed run time. The more done, the more points. Thus comparing credits within a quorum determined by the first 14 returned out of 19 initial distribution is therefore not possible. The initial deadline is 10 days, same as the HCC project. A work unit name looks like: R00001_ 04366eac6b1cd2d300ae020cdc24027a_ 04_ 19-- Start Here FAQs will be updated in the coming days with other technical info: Have from the beta 32-37mb RAM use and 57mb Virtual Memory. I've not seen the size of the compressed work files or the science. Feel free to share. From the statistics page the Acronym used is 'RICE', but 'NRW' seems to me an okay one too. Will be updated if and when it is different. Let's see if we can complete this baby within the 1 year target. Tell your friends.

My first two WUs have been returned 15 minutes ago. Everything looks fine, 8.00 and 8.01 hours, 141.2 and 141.3 credits claimed. For the time being no other results returned from other participants.
----------------------------------------The only unusual thing is that they have been reported (by the client, not by me) within seconds without requesting any new work (extra cache set at 0.1 day!). A new feature available to the techs maybe? Cheers. Jean. |

Dataman, could you find anything interesting in the WUs' error logs or in Boinc's messages?

Cheers. Jean. No Jean nothing out of the ordinary in messages. Completed a WU and started the next and it errored out at 0.00 time. Have never seen "Other" status before. The highlighted one is mine. EDIT: On a second look at messages, there is a start instruction on that WU but nothing about it after that. I manually reported it. ----------------------------------------It seems that your WU could recover from the DLL error after restarting but that the techs have underestimated the speed of your machines: too many results for the size limit they have set. I am at about 1 MB for this file with only a 2.88 GHz Q6600. Edit: I forgot to say, regarding the "write_coords(): couldn't open best1.pdb for appending!" message it seems that it is not serious. Not only computation goes on but I also had it once in each of my WUs which are Pending validation. Cheers.
