Alonso set for 'emotional' Renault exit

Fernando Alonso is aiming for a great result at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, in what the Spaniard says it will be an emotional farewell.

The two-time champion is competing with Renault for the final time before he moves to the Ferrari team, where Alonso is hoping to finish his career.

Re: The Formula One Thread Off Topic Den ???

Jp Wrote

Later most probably the gossips, quotes etc smile

The thread title is "the Formula one thread " and I know you kicked it off JP
I am aware of that fact ...

I Have been a F1 fan since 1950's, & when I post here I do so because I think there are connections with other motor sport events things that we might consider relevant .The petrol head in me doesn't stop in compartments I try not to post quick quotes from the media .although at times they might be pertinent I consider this to be a forum, a platform for discussion??
When I post here they are,My thoughts, How I see The sport , this or that race , management of the sport departures general events
Valentino Rossie is a legit person to talk about as there was a possible Red car ride , tests having been carried out okay it came to nothing but because I try to keep abreast with all motor sport I know of his skill aptitude in racing
In fact being an idle so & so I only post in a couple of places The Edwardians and here . Thinking that I am amongst like minded readers
sorry to have disrupted the thread bye

Re: The Formula One Thread

Yes, it would be an odd situation when the home of so much of Formula 1 is based in the UK. If it's just a case of following the money then eventually all racing will be in the Middle East or Asia.
