What do you think I think Brawn should pay Button or they will get what is left of the available drivers, a known driver is much better than say a Piquet jr, or Trulli or Buemi or Grosjean or some other unknown and basically unproven driver. If Brawn wants a Team of unproven drivers than by all means let Button and Barrichello go. But the B & B guys came in 1st and 3rd in the Drivers Championship standings and few other Teams in modern history can say that. Lewis Hamilton won it last year and where was his teammate? Kimi won it one year where was his? Schumacher won it 7 times and I do not believe his teammate was ever that close. Brawn had a good thing going, sure the car let them down in the 2nd half of the season as the other Teams caught up in technology and they lost their advantage, but that is expected! The Brawn drivers were competitive in almost every race this year and that cannot be said of most of the other Teams! Ferrari lost Massa and no other driver has been able to take the car into the points like he could! Anyone else remember Lewis Hamilton being last in one race, being frustrated and asking on the radio if he could just pull over and stop? The Team told him they would do race strategy and he should just concentrate on driving the car. When you fail to pay people what they want, within reason, they will take their talents elsewhere and you will get an unknown quantity in return. In motor racing an unknown quantity does not usually equal good results! ![]() ![]() |
