I missed the qualis on television but will be having my lunch in front of the tele tomorrow for the last time this year.
Despite my earlier comments it looks as if the track may be a good addition to the circuit and I read that it has been a sell out for some time. Bernie must be rubbing his hands so perhaps he can spare the odd million to ensure a continuing of the British GP. |

Good afternoon Ivan ,
----------------------------------------19 races on provisional 2010 calendar, that's one too many, F1 calendar is normally 17, 18 at a push. Provisional British GP clashes with World Cup Final. Gillett has a record of failing to come up with the goods. Plenty of water to go under the bridge yet Bernie has issued a take it or leave it deal. One, which he says, is better than a lot of others that have been given. Silverstone obviously wants the race but on terms suitable to them and one perhaps has to sympathise with Bernie here. He has given them a deal, one which if they sign then the British public will be happy. If they don't sign then they look the bad guy. However, if Silverstone have to pay £12 million out of a turnover of £38 million to stage the race then one has to wonder how this can make financial sense. Have to leave for a moment downstairs , see you later Regards JP [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Nov 5, 2009 6:07:00 AM] |

Well, it was a good finale to the season with some decent racing on this extraordinary track. Watching on television you didn't notice it getting dark; the light seemed the same all the way through.
The problem of overtaking once you're in the slip stream still has to be sorted to make it really exciting. Vettel is surely a champion in the making. Now the only real excitement is finding out who is driving for which team next season which will see the biggest shake up in the rules since I've been watching. |

A great race to end the season ...
----------------------------------------such a shame the teams are about to be stirred up but that's the way of things at seasons end There might be some empty seats still, or so it seems and who has one team member too many for the seats available one asks The change from light to dark was very good as I understand it the track lights were switched on before the start and as ambient light fell the artificial Halogen system took over so we didn't see any drastic change and more important neither did the drivers we await the news about final driver placings in the next few weeks also the fate of the British GP ..... we will back here again as the first Gp in 2010 |
