Ozylynx,
----------------------------------------See other posts in the last few days where Didactylos and Me commented and a lament was ushered. No, the DCF is not included in the computation of the claim. That's the simple CPU bench Dhry/Whet sum divided by 480 * the CPU hours used for a job...... Signing off for the night...too much of a reality check of the unsaid. cheers

Where do I find my DCF ? Your DCM will be with your next pay slip and the DCF is in C:program files/Boinc/ client_status.xml. or wherever you installed BOINCCheers. ozylynx ![]() |

The way i have from the beginning and from the supplemental posts by knreed understood is, that no-one but the 'outliers' would be negatively impacted. Can we please get an exact definition of 'outlier'? How is one defined by the credit logic? ![]() ![]() |

Can we please get an exact definition of 'outlier'? If knreed cares to give one. He made some rapid changes in response to early testing and comments. He might want to retain some flexibility for a time (able to make additional adjustments without a lot of justification). This points changing has really been eating up his time. Lawrence |

Wait, are you saying the scoring methodology is not a matter of public record? ![]() ![]() |

Hello zombie67,
Scoring method changes went Beta 01 Nov 2006. I have not kept track of the detailed time line since it has been deployed. knreed gets some statistics, tweaks it, gathers more statistics. Maybe he has finished all the tweaks, maybe not. Wait and see. The old point scoring formula was a standard BOINC method, but you have probably noticed a lot of posts calling for changes recently. We are responding. Dr. Anderson will eventually roll out a whole new method for BOINC that we currently intend to adopt. Meanwhile, the upcoming BOINC 5.8 will have some changes for Linux, at least. Interesting item I think.
One of my two AMD X2 3800+`s was claiming 10% lower than the other......The cause.....It did NOT have the AMD Dual Optimiser installed. Now this is supposedly only applicable to games as it applies directly to graphics, howether it does make 10% difference on my two AMD machines re claim`s. An anomoly ??? |

We obviously have some rogues still getting through
----------------------------------------Workunit Name Device Name Status Sent Time Time Due / Return Time CPU Time (hours) Claimed/ Granted BOINC Credit faah0895_ bdb370_ mx1ohr_ dry_ 04 p5ycho-77f4c849 Valid 11/15/2006 08:51:08 11/15/2006 15:00:35 3.30 65 / 154 That`s from the E6600 The D930 is still scoring exceptional low imho but I`ll wait for the 100 to post my findings. My two X2 3800+`s are also not claiming as I`d expect, they`re virtually identical except one has AGP the other PCI-Express, the PCI-E will claim a full 10 points more than the AGP....Mobo ??????
