Ditto. With some of those big server farms coming on line, you might need to build another machine or two Cheers No servers, just a lot of workstations. But I had to turn on the air conditioning already. Maybe I need to convert to watercooling like the old mainframes. I need to keep pushing....... brinktastee is way ahead of me, but I am 6 away from ultimaThule in WCG, and I have him beat on BOINC becasue of my 1,000,000 points on GPUGRID. I may need to upgrade another machine! :) - Mitch ---------------------------------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() |

No servers, just a lot of workstations. But I had to turn on the air conditioning already. Maybe I need to convert to watercooling like the old mainframes. You do know that a closed water-cooling system will pump just as much heat into your environment. All it really does is move the radiator away from the CPU to some other location (and usually increase the capacity of said radiator to draw heat off your CPU and INTO your environment). You'd have to run water into your system from a cold water pipe in your house, and dump the warm water into your water heater, and run with no radiator, to actually prevent your environment from warming up.
Gaming/HTPC: Intel Q9550 @ 3.5ghz, 4GB DDR2, Radeon HD 4850
Primary Server: Intel Q9550 @ 3.0ghz, 8GB DDR2, Radeon HD 4830 Backup Server/Gaming: Intel Q9550 @ 3.4ghz, 8GB DDR2, Radeon HD 4870 My ICF Home Build: http://icfbuild.blogspot.com/ |

Or you put the radiator on the north side - outside - in the shade and pump through there to exhaust the heat to the outdoors. Don't really know if that would be feasible for you, but it would be somewhat expensive. Cheers

The orioles and hummingbirds have returned. First saw them a couple of days ago. Got about 1.5"(3.7cm) rain the other night. Badly needed. Thought we might have frost this morning, but it did not happen. Still too early to put the tomatoes out. However the mosquitoes are out in full force.

Went bird watching at T.S Roberts bird sanctuary yesterday and saw 3 Black-billed Cuckoo's. A first for me! Reports of Scarlet Tanager's brought us there but we could not find them. This year I've already have seen over 120 different species of birds here in Minnesota. A good start to the year indeed!

Hmmm... I saw two bears at the zoo fighting each other in the pond. Very close up. Got some good HD video of it too.
