How useful is the HT in the Core i7? Does it run 8 threads of WCG significantly faster than 4?

Yes it runs 8 jobs at once. The HT is more efficient than the old P4 HT.

Here is my I7 965. As you can see it puts out a lot of points.

Statistics Date Total Run Time
(y:d:h:m:s) Points Generated Results Returned
5/29/09 0:009:21:23:03 41,231 146
5/28/09 0:004:12:57:49 19,148 67
5/27/09 0:008:19:13:23 33,545 124
5/26/09 0:007:20:05:51 27,256 105
5/25/09 0:007:11:26:27 26,293 108
5/24/09 0:006:05:06:32 21,690 91
5/23/09 0:005:05:18:31 18,279 99
5/22/09 0:006:06:31:56 22,254 143
5/21/09 0:008:02:27:50 27,734 134
5/20/09 0:006:06:06:00 22,607 115
5/19/09 0:006:14:25:07 22,983 102
5/18/09 0:008:07:59:14 29,162 197
5/17/09 0:005:01:32:10 18,188 139
5/16/09 0:006:11:30:29 23,240 214

I think it has the higest Average Credit per host on the team (3,687 per day) It is not overclocked. One of the two I7 920s is mine, and it looks like they have the second higest avarage time. They both run 8 tasks 24x7. The I7 965 is also running Seti under CUDA, so that hurts its average a little bit.

Here is the teams machines sorted by Average BOINC credit per day.
