I saw SDSurfer delivered 659k points in one day. Nice job! I looked at the hardware, 16-Core with 3080Gpu. But that is still some big numbers. Did you get a bunch of GPU units?

Hi Element6, thank you! I got a lot of GPU work this time, my average day is 300 or so work units, yesterday I got 1347 total units so let's call it around a thousand for the GPU. I think I just lucked out with my GPU allocation this time around, there may be a trick with a script or something to snag a lot when they do come out but using something like that is a bit out of my ability and my interest level. It was fun to watch.

It is hard to argue with right time, right place, I am glad it could all come together for a nice run.

I fear I will not be getting any GPU units. My BOINC event log reports the Intel ARC A770 and OpenCL and It crunches like crazy on the Enstein@home.
----------------------------------------When I review the computer detail on free-dc.org: WCG does not show a co-processor . but Einstein@home shows the same computer with a coprocessor: [INTEL|Intel(R) Arc(TM) A770 Graphics|1|13004MB||0] I need to do some digging to see if it is a WCG app_config issue.

Tried popping back in - no tasks? Always glad to hear from you. Tasks for MCM and SCC have been sporadic at best. There was supposed to be an scheduled outage on the July 25, but on July 21 before that was unscheduled outage due to some unspecified problem at the data center which hosts the servers. Currently I am down to one system which still has some work units, at least for the moment, but there is only a few hours worth left. Communication from Krembil has been quite sparse on the reliability situation. Given the performance of the past, it is good to have a backup project or two to fall back on during these outages. I have used Denis @Home, but they are shutting down for the month of August, so maybe WCG will have most of their problems resolved so the supply will approach steady. In the meantime I will search for another backup project I think is doing something worthwhile in the biological or medical fields. I had TN-Grid for a while, but they have been sporadic also, but I can't seem to re-enable them, at least at the moment. Cheers

I was walking by the electronics recycling bin at work and noticed a Nvidia P620 card in an old desktop. I grabbed it an installed in on my rig. Lets see if I can pick up some Nvidia GPU work units.

It’s been pretty dry with WU. I don’t even get CPU tasks anymore.
