Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Looks like its the memory. Only thing in the motherboard log showing ECC error. When I order memory, will be ordering non ECC memory since its used only for crunching now.

Registered with max of 192 gb or unbuffered with max of 48 gb. DDR3 800, 1066 or 1333. Need 3 sticks per processor but have 6 slots per processor if I want to fill it up.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

I might have what you need. I will check the specks and get back to you. They are 8gb sticks if I remember correctly.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Appreciate the offer. Still trying to figure out which stick is bad. Whats weird is it shuts down in the middle of the night only. Don't think its boinc causing it otherwise it would shut down anytime. Must be the OS during overnight maintenance. I'll get back to you on it. Thanks.

Re: Minnesota Crunchers

Just wanted to pop in and say "hello" again. I am recently getting back into crunching after a three year hiatus due to my job keeping me away from any type of system maintenance. Really, keeping me away from anything aside from checking gmail and an occasional OpenCiv game. However, that has changed now and I can get back into crunching. Looks like Bearcat and Sgt. Joe are the most active. Hopefully I can provide a new voice once and awhile.
