Must be slow at newegg. It shipped. The 5670 processor is a good chip. Hangs a little above 3 Ghz when loaded. Am hoping its not the motherboard thats bad when I hook up the new PSU. Next year will definitely build a new cruncher to replace the 5670 machine. Am liking AMD so will start buying pieces a little at a time. CPU, motherboard and memory. Hoping Microsoft wont geive me crap when trying to move the current system to it. Have heard its a hit and miss. I like win7 pro. don't want Win10. Will move to Ubuntu if I have to.

Ordered the wrong PSU. Thank god Newegg was cool about it and will refund me 100%. Thought I looked at everything but missed it had only 1 power cord for the CPU, I need 2. Other one should be here tomorrow. Looks like its about to get cold by the weekend.

Was crossing my fingers it wasn't the motherboard that went bad. Have it set to crunch 20 wu's. Might bump it to 22 after awhile. Like to leave a few threads free to keep the OS from choking.

My 1st shut down happened overnight. Looking at the logs, multiple errors. Mostly security type errors. Still checking the rest of the logs. My be time to put it out to pasture as its not worth the money to repair. Will see how it goes.

ECC errors plus some security errors. Am currently running mem test from ubuntu (dual boot setup). Takes a few hours to run. Will see if anything pops up. Also in my motherboard logs, did see memory errors and voltage errors from early this year. Cleared those to see if they pop up again. Pretty sure its from the bad PSU. Running Win7 pro. 48GB memory. Not sure whats up with win7 updates but both my win7 pro machines will not update the roll up updates. 2 of them.
