So Brink, how was the beer and how was the lunch meeting ? Cheers 5 MN Crunchers met at Lions Tap. 4 of us meet SwiftMallard! They have some awesome burgers at that place. They also have the Shells brewery make a couple beers just for them. I had the light ale. Very tastee :) Some day we should schedule a meet where we can all meet up. Maybe some where in the north side of town. ![]() That would be a wonderful idea. Sometime after the holidays. Anyone with a suggestion for a good place and/or time ? Cheers Granite City Food & Brewery 11909 Main Street Maple Grove ![]() That is a great place - I'm not far from the GCFB in Eagan. I will try to make it.

A very good Christmas and a Happy New Year to all of you Minnesota Crunchers with primarily a German or Nordic heritage - I take it you will celebrate a White Christmas - or? - some of us didn't learn the language very well Thanks for stopping by.It is very unusual for us in Central Minnesota not to have a white Christmas, but it may happen this year. The entire autumn season has been unusually warm and dry. We currently only have a dusting of snow at this point and it will be above 32F(0C) today and tomorrow so it will probably be gone. It is normally at least 30 degrees cooler than this here so we will see. Cheers

Usually there is a better than 50% chance of having snow on the ground by this time of the year according to NWS

Hello fellows...
----------------------------------------Some storm here, I think biggest one I have witness. Landed back to my home on hill next to sea and boulder myself down on this morning. There was couple of brownouts which is something I do not have enter before, area is zoned on this millennium, so all cabling is inside bedrock and because there is loop network here, even brownouts are something that just usually does not happen here. Well there was two of those and also hear when my neighbor lost all his furniture's from balcony. What a joyful sound was it When I was walking hill down, there was so much resistance from wind that I was able to lean so far forward that I could crap asphalt with my hands. So I would say that there was ten beaufort on my home street. Was wearing hood and just put my head down so did not get any debris to my eyes or anything. Funny part was that when ever I raise my foot to move it forward, I feel this huge suction behind it and it was like I would have bungee ropes on my feet, there was this giant spring that was pulling my legs from behind back to ground. Also notice how very difficult inhaling was... Sh*t it was fun.... Do not mind snow so much if there would just be wind like this ![]() ![]() |

![]() My older brother caught this 40" Sturgeon yesterday on the St. Croix river yesterday. Very cool! Got the picture and dropped it back in. You can't keep them. We were going for Crappies anyway. What a fight! |
