----------------------------------------FightAIDS@Home Project StatisticsBased on predicted Total Work Units, the project is now 76,1% at lunchtime. Based on CPU time, it's closer to 80%.

Guys,
Happy Holidays and happy crunching!! With wishes that in 2007 we find a whole array of drugs against HIV and why not even a revolutionary treatment! On topic... I have been away for a while and just checked out the FightAIDS@HOME site. I saw that there are now Phases 5 and 6. Any ideas as to what these phases entail? |

Last i looked it said below the phase 5 graph it was about "BindingDB vs. HIV Protease, with and without Active Site Water Molecule
----------------------------------------" and phase 6 being in preparation. Other than that no info. We're passing 39,000 CPU years this Friday. Based on work units completed, > 33.3 million, we're probably well close to 85% progress.

Hello everybody and a happy new year,
I wonder if it would be possible for the scientists at Olsons lab to let us know the names and the number of WUs for one Experiment. E.g. I have a WU named faah1135_d175n340 ready to crunch, so maybe it would be nice to get an announcement somewhere at the beginning of a new experimet in the form of: "Eperiment Nr. 5 consists of a batch of xxxxx WUs named from faahxxxx_dxxxnxxx to faahyyyy_dyyynyyy" That would prevent people asking when the phase will be finished, cause they can see it from their client. Maybe such an announcement is also possible for the UD-WUs, but I must admit that I don“t know if the WU-names can be read from that client as easily. |

This Lunchtime, more than 40,000 CPU years and 83% for phase 2 according the estimated work unit method. Based on CPU years, we're at about 88.5% and have left about 3,500 years or 40-45 days.
---------------------------------------- FightAIDS@Home Project Statistics Statistics Last Updated: 01/11/2007 12:06:02 (UTC) [3 hour(s) ago] Totals: Regrettably, the http://fightaidsathome.scripps.edu/ website has not been updated for a while, so we don't know how far further we've advanced on experiment 5, and if experiment 6 is ready to be distributed to the members, or might even already be running. Not paid attention to the BOINC WU names.

Heya
So, that's not all that far away. What's on the horizon? Another FAaH? I'm just curious, since I am one of the single core cpu's out here, and don't honestly know if there is much future for us! Not whining, just a little concerned. |

Hello Dexter_Nemrod and 7 cures,
The FightAIDS@Home home page was last updated at the end of November. It suddenly showed more experiments. Up until then, changes had been showing the percent completed for Phase II. The new information gives us more detail about what is being done but leaves us uncertain about how much work remains to do. But scientific research is like that. It is not chiseled in stone. You veer your research to answer questions that pop up during your research. Sekerob's Pie Chart showing what the World Community Grid has done is updated frequently. Lawrence |
