From the time the 43% completion point was posted I divided the time that had elasped processing Phase 2 and came up with 25,000 years of processing time required to complete 100% of Phase 2. Right now we are at 17,025 years which places us at about 68%. This assumes... COOL even better, yay , revised eta already. thanx for comment so any revised "bets", dec? jan? feb? hmm at this rate they will have to get some other projects up ( malaria) etc so we dont run out of work LOL. Right now I will estimate that Phase II will be completed somtime early next January. |

Don't get too carried away folks.
Don't forget that some of the productivity boost is because another project is on hold and the computers which would be working on that are now on FAAH. Sorry for the 'wet blanket' Cheers. ozylynx |

Actually I hope it's going to be January 07...... a few independently arrived at that month...... sets the time (resources) free for all these fresh new projects in the pipeline + HPF2
----------------------------------------Let's keep that Throttle Tweak alive to get as many UD agents back up from the default 60% to as close to 100% as is safe, and it will be.....Make it so :>)

Sorry for the 'wet blanket' Cheers. ozylynx I am assuming about on average 100 years of processing per day. We just past 17,000 years of processing on Phase II so about 8,000 more years (about 80 days) remain. If other projects become more active this might push back completion to perhaps late January or February. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 16, 2006 2:44:11 PM] |

Guys,
In addition to numerical updates, the scientist had mentioned that they had ordered from NCI the best compounds that were discovered in Phase I. And they would test these against HIV. I was wondering if we could get an update on that from them as well? |

It is 10/18 today - laboratory testing is a long and tedious process. I'm sure they are working on it and will keep us up to date ![]() Jeff (formerly we45dfa35gh3476) [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 18, 2006 2:42:31 PM] |

Hi Jeff,
You are right - it has been only a month. I guess, they have quite a lot of testing to go through. I am glad we have made some very good progress. Looking at yesterday's processing time, we have gone up from 100 years/day to 127 years/day. This is really great! Let's keep crunching! |

I've learned a lot by reading through these posts. I had been wondering the same thing about the stagnant 43% progress showing. I keep hoping to see it move as I check it several times per week. Their site never has been all that "regular" with updates. I just keep in mind that we are all making a difference with our crunching and something good will come out of it.

Thanks Glen,
I am copying my conclusions from the Project Status thread at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread?thread=7397#73569 28,047,984 results at 60% completion of Stage 2 22,529,595 results at 40% completion of Stage 2 - - - - - - - - 05,518,389 results = 20% completion Therefore we will probably need to do another 11,036,778 results to complete Stage 2 at 39,084,762 results. Progress should increment 1% per 275,920 results. The longer base line makes this look much more heartening. |
