Re: on our way to 75

<snip>So I figure we should make it to 78th by Friday night, and to 77th next Tuesday night after stats are posted.

Awesome! Thanks Bill for the stats update.

Thanks to all for your continued support!

So, Brink, how's winter doing now?? <snippers>

Well my Davis weather station is telling me it got down to 10 last night and it's 20 now and were under a winter storm watch. So thing are looking up biggrin
We need this cold so those lakes get a little thicker/safer. Love that ice fishing.

Brewers:
Winter is finally making its presence known. 0F(-17C) last night up a little ways north of the Cities. Hear most of the snow should fall south of us. A minor cold snap, should be warming into the twenties later this week. I saw in the Minneapolis sunday paper they published the weather year in review. Over 4 degrees F warmer than the 35 year average and drier too. Only 3 of the 12 months were cooler than normal. Big article on Will Steger, the polar explorer, concerning his efforts to educate on global warming. Very interesting.

Cheers

Yeah, I check the NOAA stats on our local climate in southern AZ, and in the last 5 years, we've always been over average for the years, and for most of those months it's been 3-6 degrees above.

No question in my mind - anyone who lives on "reclaimed land" or flat coastline by the ocean had better think about moving.

Cheers

angry No BOINCing on Hump Day

As of this morning, BOINC servers at WCG are having a problem with upload and download.

Dave and I (from the Homebrewers) have made the admins aware of the ongoing problems, since their initial assessment was that it was a "timing problem" with statistics updating.

Information will be made available in the BOINC forum, or perhaps eventually the system status forum.

Cheers

This problem has been resolved. Your PC should be BOINCing normally.

I don't know who concluded it was the stats run, but the post i linked gives the times of Stats, Backups and Maintenance. The Backups were in progress from 09:00 to 11:00 UTC, which was the frame within which the problem reports came thru initially AND when the upload/download is really down. During stats runs, everything should work normal.... it's just that that part, stats, is not accessible or the my grid profile.

Sorry if being led astray biggrin

Now its time for a beer

cheers

One for the bike, one for me.

Re: Game Time or Anytime - beer bratwurst

Hello, everyone. I haven't been by lately because I've been busy. Anyway, our team is still doing some great work, and we should move to #75 tomorrow night by passing two more teams.

Cheers.
