I'm getting new workunites now, too (_0 and _1), not only repair jobs.
Everything seems to be OK now. |

I can confirm, (I don't want to jinx it) that all seems back to normality.
----------------------------------------Boinc client has been able to download new WUs, even though I had to force the restart of WUs files download a few times. A heartfelt "thank you" to all WCG staff and all the technical collaborators to those who helped restore and get back the project on its feet. We are so grateful and honoured to contribute to such useful and promising project. [Edit 1 times, last edit by puurome at Jan 11, 2025 8:02:00 AM] |

It looks good.
----------------------------------------The machines are able to download new WU's. At my side, it restarted at about 2025-01-10 23:00:00 UTC and 2025-01-11 00:00:00 UTC. Unfortunately, it looks like that many successfully computed WU's from 2024 were discarded at report time because of not meeting the deadline ... Cheers, Yves |

Looks good here. My x86 hosts are once again crunching MCM.
Thanks to all involved - running a project like this must be like herding cats. |

----------------------------------------Some of the latest returns are dated June 2018 !!!! Time to reset the clock?

Some of the latest returns are dated June 2018 !!!! Time to reset the clock? I wonder if that was related to the "too early by a negative amount" weirdness I saw earlier? I just checked my results page, and I have about 74 pages of proper timestamps and a page and a half with 2018. Also late in the mix are a bunch with proper timestamps that errored out. Some WUs that I just turned in have proper timestamps. I'll note that things are running smoothly for me right now. |

Yay! The fans on my PC have started whirring faster- that means only 1 thing.... Yes - some WUs! At last.
----------------------------------------Happy to see that they have a normal reporting date too, not one in the distant past! :) |

Looking at my results page with a "Valid" filter, I do so many with the 2018 return date have been validated as good, without a resend involved. No late, invalid, or errors. It appears to me that either the validator simply needs to catch up, people didn't complete the crunching after shutdown, or their machines are not on for upload. Either way, the 2018 return time doesn't look to be any cause for concern. “Where an excess of power prevails, property of no sort is duly respected. According to their new (and I find very helpful) operational status page (https://www.cs.toronto.edu/~juris/jlab/wcg.html):
"All our servers are back online. We are downloding processed work units and sending out new ones, and they have the right deadlines (after the initial glitch with the time)." |
