Re: Downtime warning

Congrats to the Jurisica Lab and thank you for keeping us updated at https://www.cs.toronto.edu/~juris/jlab/wcg.html

Now that you've got brand new equipment, let's see what we can do with it.

Hear, hear!
Now that you've got brand new equipment, let's see what we can do with it.
The Infrastructure Renewal Wiki page at the Alliance Canada site has some interesting reading; it seems that this phase of work at the data centre was just about preparing the environment for major hardware upgrades and that overall service availability will be reduced until the new hardware is in place and fully tested.

I'm not sure how much that will impinge upon current WCG operations (if at all) but I suspect we'll not get the best out of the improvements until [late] Spring (though sooner would be nice!)...

Given the improved communications from WCG (as applauded above!) I suspect we'll get ongoing clarifications :-)

Cheers - Al.

P.S. At present, look for information about Graham when visiting that Wiki or their status site -- the new facilities will have a different name when live...

Re: Downtime warning

Happy to see WCG being back or nearly back.
It seems that all processed WU's (about 795 on my side) since the datacentre shutdown have been successfully uploaded on 2025-01-09.
It is still not possible to report.

Happy year 2025!
Cheers,
Yves

Re: Downtime warning

I note that, on my PC, the WUs that have been stuck since December, have had their completion dates extended till 14 January. BUT, there is no activity on my PC whatsoever.

Can I assume that everyone else is in the same boat?

Re: Downtime warning

Yes, you may assume so. The operational status tab on the Jurisica lab page gives the latest status:

Jurisica Lab WCG

Re: Downtime warning

Glad to see this coming back to life. My elderly Ryzen 7 gets crashy when it has nothing to crunch, and so I've been crunching on Asteroids@Home for the time being. I'll keep my Raspberry Pi fleet there once WCG is back, but I'd love to see my x86 contingent back on WCG.
