Same here. The lack of a minimum of consideration from WCG teams for individual volunteers is appalling. The impression I get is that it has been decided to sink the Grid once and for all.
I am suspending my participation in this project until all my devices and results are posted and up to scratch. Depending on how long this takes, and how comprehensive the fix, I may or may not return. |

As I said here, I'd love to volunteer my sysadmin expertise to WCG. May I take a look at this issue and solve it please? What the techs currently are doing is a workaround (manually adding new devices)--what I would like to do is intimately get to know WCG systems and find out what task or job or process is failing that is preventing new devices from being automatically added in the first place.
----------------------------------------We'll never get a surge of hundreds or thousands of new users contributing to WCG if all their devices have to be manually added by an overworked employee. Best fix the issue permanently.

I am not seeing any results since 5/19 and no devices on my account. My new local bionic device is working at 100% CPU for several weeks now.

WCG Towers doesn't want any help. This all has been offer in various forms, from various people, for a year now. We'll never get a surge of hundreds or thousands of new users contributing to WCG if all their devices have to be manually added by an overworked employee. Best fix the issue permanently. And if you point this out too seriously, it gets you moderated on the forum, where it pretty much doesn't make any sense to participate at all. And some volunteers of the rose colored shades brigade are joyfully cheering that we need to deal with all the issues for a year now. It's the new normal, just go with the flow... Ralf  |

Does anyone know if all new machines are missing from profiles, or is it only some? Has anyone added a new machine and been automatically attached to their profile without manual intervention?

Re-attached to WCG on May 28 after 2-year absence. 77 valid results returned but no credit yet given. Found this thread while looking for cause/solution.
