And the issues seem to have reappeared since ARP has started up again - surely not just a coincidence. I'm set up to NOT accept ARP WUs but I'm getting them anyway and they have recurrent download problems !! Even worse is the fact that all my other downloads (OPN and MCM) are also now similarly infected with the problem whereas, before ARP restarted, all downloads were running just fine. I've been having the same problem for the last couple of days on two separate Windows 11 systems in different locations. However, in my case, disabling ARP seems to have worked (I did it at the account level, not per system.) After doing that, aborting all the pending downloads, and restarting both clients, I now have work units to process again! I'm still seeing problems with other WU downloads, but they're eventually succeeding after a few retries rather than being consistently roadblocked like they were before. ![]() |

We are back to babysitting the servers again. By the time this gets fixed there will be maybe five devices left in WCG.

Yeah, it's annoying.
----------------------------------------But cancer, pandemics, and drought are far worse. Our focus must be upon the future; not upon the present difficulties, for without victory against these scourges there can be no survival. We will crunch what we may get, when we may get it, and return our results as best we may. We shall crunch on Android, on Raspberry Pi, and on ARM; we shall crunch on Windows, on the Mac, and on Linux. We can not, we must not, we shall not flag or fail even in these temporary headwinds to do what we came to do in spite of all that has transpired so far. Despite our difficulties, the grand totals of our work continue to grow daily, and the immeasurable gain to the sciences over decades of laboratory work and thousands of dead ends gainsay abandonment of our charge. Hold the line against the night; stand fast, yeoman of WCG!
That science of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the Earth.

Thank to the OP, this was a great help. I have 2 16 core machines, they were totally out of work as the boinc client was in "download standoff mode" for several hours after failing to download a MCM WU multiple times. I literally spent hours manually retrying download transfers. With this solution, I am back to normal again.
