Not sure if it is useful information but, I noticed that when doing RETRIES I had the best probably of a successful download of THAT file when the elapsed time was in the vicinity of 15 - 25 seconds; occasionally requiring over 30 seconds and sometimes significantly longer.
I would click on RETRY as soon as the highlighted file dropped to waiting and/or the system indicated fallback. The timer would briefly pause but not reset. |

The whole transfer to Krembil ruined WCG. After long delays and project downtime, they can't get their act together and it is still buggy and not working okay. I got problems not only downloading, but also uploading.

Yep, upload is pending here too. I hope that it's only because many people are downloading/uploading after the break due to the lack of site's certificate.
----------------------------------------I am saddened to think that thousands of works have been lost during this period. Indeed when a download/upload fails too often it is simply removed from the project. The "boinccmd --network_available" command prevents this withdrawal from the project because if it is executed with a fairly short delay, the withdrawal counter does not have time to do its work.

Not only problems of uploading and downloading but also of not getting credit for ones work. I have 40 cores available as well as 4 GPU streams and the last credited result was 23rd February this year. Krembil sucks!

If you look at the external stats sites they show that you are being credited for the work, it just isn’t updating the internal stats at the moment whilst they are sorting the major problems out. |

And of course, even the Boinc Manager shows that you are being credited. Both on the statistics tab, and the projects tab.

Fortunately, we don't do this just to get statistics. We do it to actively participate in medical research. Unlike a cash donation, statistics allow us to see that our participation has reached those who need it.
