About 7 to 8 days ago I changed the device profile on the WCG website to allow for the maximum number of tasks for ARP workunits from 3 to 4 and the change was persistent when I saved the profile. On previous attempts to do change values on the device profile I was not able to save any changes that I made. Except for the day when the BOINC application was not able to communicate with WCG my desktop computer was consistently getting the maximum of 3 workunits to process at a time. This morning there seems to have been a change where WCG recognized the device profile update that I had made and the desktop computer was processing 4 workunits simultaneously. I find this to be encouraging.

Bit of a novice question, but is there a log file on a Windows machine that shows what has been processed? Yes, it's in the BOINC data directory, for WCG it's job_log_www.worldcommunitygrid.org.txt |

3 newly created OPN1 task, and one newly created ARP1 task, arrived here about 1 hour ago.
----------------------------------------The ARP1 task did have some download problems though, with plenty of "transient HTTP errors". But as usual, some abuse of the "retry/retry all" option, solved that problem pretty quick. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Grumpy Swede at Jul 30, 2022 1:36:22 PM] |

I have not had any new works units for days now.. Can we please get an update to the current issues please? We are trying to send out more tasks soon, but as we've stated in previous announcements, the quantity of tasks is limited and not every volunteer is guaranteed to receive tasks. When more tasks are sent out, we will post an update. |

I have not had any new works units for days now.. Can we please get an update to the current issues please? The same issues as 6 weeks ago!The whole project is still in testing mode and there simply is not a steady supply of WUs until the BOINC part of the project is officially restarted again. This is now mentioned in the FAQ and at least a couple dozen threads in this forum by now since the web site and forum became operational back in June... Ralf |

We'll likely send out more workunits now that we fixed a minor issue with the OPNG workunits which might be elaborated upon in a future forum post. |
