My catch for today, was mostly OPN1 resends for WU's sent out August 5. (No Reply, resends) Total for today, only 9 tasks, 6 OPN1 resends, and 3 new MCM1.

Following the recent advice about 12:30 UTC being the time to look out for WUs, I received 3 OPN1 each on my own and my wife's laptops, mostly "no reply, resend". Our desktop received 12 new MCM, one per thread. Lots of "transient HTTP errors" mentioned elsewhere on all three machines requiring multiple manual retries to complete downloads.

Out of the last 249 wu's I've gotten 23 with this error:

I haven't received any WUs since August 2. This is my longest dry spell since the beginning of July. I think it's because people know the precise time of the WU dump now. I don't have anything set up to ask for an update at that time. Maybe I'll try to figure that out.

At least you got some. My last work units were returned on Feb 19. And this PC has been on 24/7 since then.

Today, only 4 OPN1 resends, (No Reply resends) at 12:27:26 UTC. I only had 1 computer running though when the daily batch was released.

Hi all!
Based on this morning's distribution, I received a total of 57 project WUs across 11 systems: 53 - OPN1 (mostly intial releases but some from "No Reply") 4 - ARP1 (all were generated from "No Reply's"). There were download backoffs. But, the system resolved them all without human intervention for a total elapsed time of about 40-45 minutes. Some of those systems were and continue to run other projects. The priority I have setup for those projects is typically 1% or 2%. WCG projects is set at 100%. Observations: These were mostly initial distributions but some re-release of "No Reply" WU. The release time (~12:30 UTC) of the new WU's also puts the timeout for "No Reply" to that same window. OPN1 - A few "Minimum Quorum's" were listed as 1 but most were listed as 2. Cyclops, should you have other questions, I believe you have access to my email address Bruce Morse |
