I'm getting a pretty good amount of resends from batches originally sent out July 9. The original computer(s) either timed out (No Reply), errored out (Error) their tasks, or needed an arbiter,

I got 12 ARP units around 1130 a.m. New Zealand time all 0 or 1. The thing I found interesting was I did not have this project selected.(In My Projects list ARP did not have a tick in it) I am going to let the units run. For those interested graphics display correctly with the correct name shown "Krembil"

I think they are running these test batches on the BETA stream, but without the Beta label, and then it will be like this. And changing the profiles now, is also meaningless, since they are not being synchronized with the BOINC client or server. That's another issue the team is working on. I've gotten 18 ARP1 WUs, spead across 3 machines.
----------------------------------------I'm also seeing piles of download errors in the logs:
That's just the most recent 2, of 104 failure messages since boot, on a machine that's been up for 1d 03h. No upload issues though. |

Really? Are you sure? One of my computers received a handful of units so I activated my number-crunching computers and waited. So far, the record is four computer: zero units, one computer: the said handful which completed a long time ago. I guess that if you folks are not serious about this I should just switch off the spare computers again to save money. Frankly, I'm getting disgusted with this entire miserable process and am on the verge of uninstalling WCG on all of my computers so that I'm not tempted to glance at the non-progress. I'm normally a patient person but that only goes so far.

I just wanted to say that they are still in a testing phase, so while WUs are minimally being sent out that it isn't out of the testing phase yet. They said they would announce when the WU pipeline is going for real.
If the testing phase is too stressful for anyone then just wait until the official announcement. Some are willing to help them test and are doing the test WUs are reporting errors. To help them get closer to "normal". I've seen the baby steps of progress. The error messages of last week are gone and they appear to be trying each of the projects to make sure there are no surprises. So far I've seen OPN, MCM and ARP,. |

Thanks, Unixchick :-)
If users would read the first post in this thread , there might be fewer complaints. However, if the user just looks for somewhere to post... FWIW, I only re-enabled one of my larger systems at WCG and I'm getting a small but steady flow of ARP1 and OPN1 with the occasional MCM1 (the latter mostly retries for tasks where an original recipient either detached or didn't return by the deadline!) Everything seems to be working (if one ignores the data transfer issues, which may well require more bandwidth or more connectivity for a permanent solution, and could get [far] worse if/when they sort out whatever is impeding OPNG supply...) Cheers - Al, |

I got a single ARP unit to crunch, completed it, and successfully reported.
