Just FYI, BOINC still believes it’s https. And the project refuses to attach at http.

Hi Cyclops. What are the chances for WCG projects never resuming? For you: twice as long. +1 ^_^ |

Project management of this transfer seems to be the problem, with insufficient planning for "time, people and physical infrastructure".
----------------------------------------While I appreciate the "new Communications Intern at WCG", this does not address anything to bringing this back online!! [Edit 1 times, last edit by rgarvey at Jun 29, 2022 9:35:17 PM] |

see article 666666 from Oct 1, 2021 8:48:28 PM. 666666? Does this involve an alien experiment and a chandelier from a closed opera house?? |

Wow... They need to reconsider their moderator choices. Even as a joke it's in poor taste. Did someone call me? ;) BTW...did I see one of my favorite words of all time? "Amiga?" It's hands down one of the best machines I've ever had the pleasure to work with, big or small, in a few decades of computing. What it could do in the smallest memory and storage footprint still astounds me to this day - and it was well before its time. And greetings, Cyclops! I love your recent statement on this thread. It shows great future potential for you to be the Communication Director for a future, high profile, political candidate for national office. No it doesn't and that's not the intention either.
The intention is a voice for WCG communicating with us which a good portion of the volunteers have been asking for (self included). Granted there is more info to be provided, but at least we got someone who is attempting to address matters even if they are new. How well that will turn out, we will have to see, but it's only been 1 day... And there's probably a 100 notes already on the matter of WUs... |

For all the project management in the world the estimated completion date is just that, an estimate. Things can, and do, go wrong beyond the expected contingency that has been allowed for and, when they do, deadlines are missed - this is a fact of life. |

I don't disagree,
----------------------------------------just disappointed with a project I've invested in since 2004, with all of the false, repeated failed messaging on restart because of the lack of project management. Delivery on messaging is critical, or just don't schedule on what cannot be delivered. [Edit 1 times, last edit by rgarvey at Jun 29, 2022 11:23:51 PM] |

I hope Krembl has more success in their core business than they have had on this side project. I have 18 cores and 36 threads working elsewhere and feel sorry for the projects that WCG formerly supported that cannot access the MIPS I have to offer.
