Hi hchc,
Thanks for your offer to help with the graphics and for your interest in scientific accuracy.

We are tweaking the screensaver text before launch, so that it doesn't refer to COVID-19 as a virus, but as a disease.

Many thanks,
Juan

hello there.
Since this is using autodock, does anyone know, historically, if these favored any operating system in particular?

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

Update: Wingmen returned their results: One WU took 18.19 the other took 45.98 (!) hours. I think runtime close to 2days might be a problem for non 24/7 devices when the project runs in daily routine. Anyways, I am really hoping to crunch OPN1 on my Android cluster.

Update: I got a repair WU on my Android cluster because one WU was flagged with "no reply". That person might have a problem to return the WU in time?

My runtime of the 3 betas I catched: 10.65h, 14.24h, 10.12 (repair job)
Runtime of wingman: 18.19h, 45.98h, 24.98h.

It is great to see OPN1 on Android/ARM processors! Maybe you should check if the sizing of WUs is okay for the daily routine (people that do not dedicate their devices 24/7 might get a problem to return in time by runtime of 24h+ per WU?). Nevertheless I will love to crunch those WUs on ARM even if they have 72h+ runtime :D

Information about WUs:
BETA_ OPN1_ 9999997_ 0148_ 2-- (repair job)
BETA_ OPN1_ 9999997_ 0005_ 1--
BETA_ OPN1_ 9999996_ 0209_ 1--

Information about my cluser:
Odroid N2 systems, running on Android 9.0

How to get a beta work? I have not got any from this round, though I have been enlisted as a beta tester for few years (only got 91 so far).

Gretar,
you should not worry. Beta WUs are usually released in a very limited number.
Even with several machines running full time, within 13 years, I only succeed to compute about 332 CPU days for Beta.
Maybe you will be luckier next time.
Happy crunching,
Yves

If my memory serves me correctly I think it was Linux it ran faster on. I can't speak from experience as I am a Windows user

AutoDock 4, which is what we'll be running, didn't have any significant runtime differences between OS's, from what I recall.
AutoDock Vina does and is much faster under Linux but that's not what this is going to run.
