Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

@Speedy51, I think it's because the Docking starts with Number 0 instead of Number 1.

Could easily be. What I am wanting to know is whether in the case above docking number 28 is getting done twice or whether it is just purely a visual aspect in the log. Have copied part of a longer question from my previous post

Finished Docking number 27
AG Check: Found map file receptor.A.map.
INFO:[13:57:27] Start AutoDock for a_ZINC000787022272.dpf(Job #0)...
INFO: In AutoDock main_autodock()
Beginning AutoDock...
INFO: Setting num_generations: 9999999
About to enter main loop...(dockings already completed: 28)
Finished Docking number 28

Patched executable with PEInfo and 1 task appears to be runing OK on XP 32 bit.

Search here for PEinfo for instructions and download site.

Paul.

Needs to be a 6 now?

No, needs to change to 5 from 6.

Both Xp 32 bit units validated OK.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

Besides other OPN1´s on other machines already returned,
I've four tasks running om my slowest Windows10 tablet (Intel Atom CPU Z3735F @ 1.33GHz) 32bits.
BETA_OPN1_TEST004_0417_0 7.09 Beta elapsed 17:43:38 60.001% done
BETA_OPN1_TEST004_0418_1 7.09 Beta elapsed 16:50:40 54.010% done
BETA_OPN1_TEST004_0416_0 7.09 Beta elapsed 16:39:54 54.000% done
BETA_OPN1_TEST004_0420_0 7.09 Beta elapsed 16:47:15 50.007% done

Restarting after suspend OK (also when swapped out of memory).
Memory usage has its limits and not that high as Keith feared.

Task details of one task:
Name BETA_OPN1_TEST004_0416_0

Application Beta 7.09
Workunit name BETA_OPN1_TEST004_0416
Estimated app speed 1.12 GFLOPs/sec
Estimated task size 33,991 GFLOPs
CPU time at last checkpoint 16:24:12

Estimated time remaining 14:11:46
Fraction done 54.000%
Virtual memory size 188.27 MB

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

One of my Mac WUs might be interesting: I got the 5th send of BETA_OPN1_TEST029_0401, which first ran three times with 7.08, and which I got with 7.09. And it just returned and went valid immediately.

I took a pretty long time, giving me a chance to check in on it a few times. I had to shut off the computer for the night in between, so the checkpointing worked.

I'm wondering if there might be small memory leak/deallocation issue somewhere. Here is an overview of the RAM utilisation/working set size as the WU progressed:
Fraction done Working set size
22.008% 141.29 MB
40.005% 142.19 MB
58.001% 142.62 MB
Shutdown for the night
58.002% 109.37 MB
80.005% 112.79 MB
84.005% 112.79 MB
94.001% 112.79 MB
96.006% 112.79 MB
98.000% 112.79 MB
98.007% 112.79 MB

It's only about 30 MB, so it's not disastrous. Maybe this is perfectly normal and expected, I just thought it's strange the RAM utilisation drops after a reboot, and only fractionally rebounds.

I stored copies of the properties of the WU at those intervals, so if that would be useful, just give the word.

Cheers, michael.

No, needs to change to 5 from 6.

Both Xp 32 bit units validated OK.

Paul.

Mine was at 5 and all 4 tasks I received failed with the same error you first reported. Must be something else going on.

Re: OpenPandemics - COVID 19 Beta Test April 20, 2020 [ Issues Thread ]

Got 12 WUs (3 in the first batch and 9 in the second). All returned valid. Caught two in the act and tested suspend/resume from disk. That worked fine. Memory use was 127 MiB on one WU, so that is fine as well. Did notice one WU where there was a large discrepancy in CPU time with my wingman (BETA_OPN1_TEST003_1256). I needed 3.14 hours on a Ryzen 1700X with SMT enabled, while my wingman needed 9.11 hours. Cannot see what kind of CPU (s)he has of course, could be very old...

Looks like the project was created from the FAAH setup. Some files still show that (e.g. the file wcg_faah.state in the slots directory). But I guess that is all cosmetic and not a priority...

Edit - this was all under linux.

Exe to change is wcgrid_beta28_autodock_7.09_windows_intelx86
Fields I changed in Optional(PE) Header from 6 to 5 were 13 MajorOperatingSystemVersion and 17 MajorSubsystemVersion.

Just checked the file I believe is for graphics, wcgrid_beta28_gfx_7.09_windows_intelx86, and that has 5 as supplied.
