I am re-posting our latest call with the research team so anyone checking this thread can see it more easily. This month's call took place on October 14.
We had our monthly call with the research team today. 1. The researchers confirmed that they've sent the last of the work units to us. Based on our tech team's estimated projections, there's about two weeks worth of work to be processed. 2. One of the researchers will be speaking at a conference in the US in early December. 3. They have several papers in the works--mostly in the writing stage. 4. They're making plans for analyzing their data--the project produced a huge amount of information. Work unit status (as of October 14): Available for Download: 0 In Progress: 6,807 batches (7,753,614 work units) Completed: 457,567 batches - 6,155 batches in the last 30 days - average of 205 per day |

I understand from another thread the last batch is 465016.
Today, I get the "tasks are committed to other platforms" message. What batch number are we on now? |

jonathandl, I'm led to believe that all the batches have now been sent out.
----------------------------------------What you may be seeing, are resends, perhaps trying to be sent to an operating system other than the one you've got/running. |

Dropped my last batch of WU last night. My cache is now empty and I'm not trying to get any recycled WUs but better switch to other sub-project. Glad that I passed 15 years run time but no badge unfortunately.

Is it officially over now, or are there some recycles left?

There should be a a few recycles left trickling in. My queue is down to about 30 work units, so I am still reporting a few yet. I would not hold my breath for more than the occasional unit, if any. We were down over 20,000 completed work units from Oct.29 to Oct. 30, so I would expect that will tail off quickly, probably will be down to a handful in about 4 to 5 days.
----------------------------------------Cheers
Sgt. Joe

Recycles are really the cause of project closing delays. Yesterday I've grabbed an old laptop and found unfinished WU's from OET since 2016. That was some resends to somebody ))) Expect similar action within every project )

Got literally dozens of ZIKA in the past 8 hours, all _1 or _2 which expired, passed deadlines on the previous hosts. New deadline 3 days. Yesterday there were still 33K valids reported i.e. a few more days of trickle before true dry up.

I'm guessing the last round of resends are going out now.
----------------------------------------On my 49 hosts currently running one received around 650 resends last night (will take around 19 hours to crunch). The other 48 hosts didn't get a single WU, I guess they didn't ask for work the right second.
