Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

Today had an original _0 at 1:56:09 PM (+2 UTC)... so much for all this chasing at particular minutes and seconds for the 4.5k HST1 units a day of 2.6-2.8 million WU total that WCG sent out daily in the last week tongue

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

I set this task scheduler up yesterday on a windows 7 i5 machine, let it run overnight, and got no HSTB tasks :( I made sure to use the time sync program and my time is off by .1 seconds.
The boinc log shows no tasks available, so I guess I am out of luck. Was hoping to get ruby or even sapphire before the project ends.

Maybe 03 on the nose is too early, and the hopper doesn't have them loaded yet. Wonder if I should change to 03 + 30 sec or something.

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

I start my scheduling from 03/33 + 9 seconds.

This gives some buffer in case either the server or my PC clock goes a bit off. In the case of 03/33 on the dot, the server may also be congested with the default scripts all hammering it.

There are only about 4000 HSTB tasks returned daily. There were 2.2 million tasks returned yesterday. Presumably that is the rate they are going out. That means that HSTB is about 0.2% of the outgoing task. We are just trying to improve our chances above slim. Have patience and fine-tune your technique.

Cheers coffee

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

Still at 55 days. I give up -- not dropping HSTB, but re-enabled the rest of WCG projects as well..
