Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

A few weeks ago I changed the start time in Task Scheduler to start at 0217 and it is still set to run every 30 minutes. Now my lil crunchers happily have 2 days of work most of the time.

Thanks for the update on the optimum time.

Cheers coffee

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

It appears so. I noticed that I wasn't getting any new work for the past few days. I even had to take my 2 computers running HSTB off autopilot and fill the queue manually with MIP1.

The history of returns here shows a slow drop-off in the returns each day, but yesterday there was only 797 returns, less than 50% of the previous 28 days.

I wonder what's up? The scientists had said that they were going to let the supply "run dry". In February Viktor (Viktors) said it wouldn't be for a few months. Well maybe that time has come (unannounced).

Cheers coffee

No new work has been available for a few days now. We expect to get more work soon, but as is normal for this project, volunteers willing to process work for the project vastly exceed the supply of work to run so it will be distributed quickly.

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

I have not gotten any work in a very long time. Part of the problem has been that there was so little work that I set up six different WCG projects and turn off those that get to 180 days. So right now I am running a lot of OpenZika, some Outsmart Ebols, and a few Childhood Cancer ones.

And WCG is not the only one. ClimatePrediction.net has send out no work units for Linux in months.

I can't wait for more work. In 1920 My Great grandfather passed away from it. It is a terrible disease and it is a shame people still suffer from it.

Re: Using Scheduled boinccmd to get HSTB Work

I had a few trickle in to me.
Hopefully you will, too, dcs1955.
Yes, it's a horrible disease.
What makes it worser is that it has mutated into drug resistant forms that are very difficult to cure
to a wide degree created by patients who mismanage their drug regimen or to other adverse reasons.
sad

Thanks for the information. I will read it in depth. Do you know if ancient TB inoculations still work for the DRTB? If not we may have another HIV/AIDS crisis in the works.
