It worked for me on x64 bit Win10, with CET setting...so why shouldn't work for you? All I've changed is a username, which was still invalid...so I changed that within settings in Task Scheduler...Just in list General, go to "Change User or Group"m then "Advanced" & then "Find New"...& sellect from the list your user & it will work! Thank you I got it working. As of yet I haven't got any work :) |

I'm glad it worked for you both. I'm sorry that I was away for a few days, but you worked it out. Just be sure that you are not constantly hammering the WCG servers. Its purpose is just to ask for work at feeding time. If anyone discovers different times that than the 10:03 UTC starting time (and every 30 minutes for a few hours), please kindly post here.
----------------------------------------Cheers |

Only reason I am asking is because I have had no luck in snagging any. |

32258 World Community Grid 3/13/2017 11:33:24 AM Message from server: We are currently experiencing high load and are temporarily deferring your scheduler request. Your client will automatically try again later.

Only reason I am asking is because I have had no luck in snagging any. Check your client logs from 10:03 UTC. You must also satisfy 2 other conditions for this procedure to work. You must have only HSTB selected and your queue size must be larger than the amount of work your computer has. For example you have the queue size set to 1 day and you have your client request work until there is 1 day of work. Then you change the settings and ask for 2 days and only HSTB. Then when your computer sends a request at xx:03 the server either sends HSTB or nothing. If your client log looks like this: 2986 World Community Grid 3/13/2017 5:03:10 PM Sending scheduler request: Requested by user. then your queue is full and your client isn't requesting work. Read above for the remedy. If your log reads:2987 World Community Grid 3/13/2017 5:03:10 PM Not requesting tasks: don't need 2663 World Community Grid 3/13/2017 3:33:11 AM Requesting new tasks for CPU then there is no work for HSTB. Be sure your clock is set accurately.2664 World Community Grid 3/13/2017 3:33:13 AM Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 2665 World Community Grid 3/13/2017 3:33:13 AM No tasks sent 2666 World Community Grid 3/13/2017 3:33:13 AM No tasks are available for Help Stop TB 2667 World Community Grid 3/13/2017 3:33:13 AM No tasks are available for the applications you have selected. I have no idea if work is available at other times. Now work seems to be flowing freely. SekeRob reports success at other times. I am going to disable my scheduled tasks and see what happens tonight. Cheers |

Well, I certainly wouldn't say that work is "flowing freely", but it's certainly flowing a lot better than it was.
----------------------------------------Since the beginning of March, these are the times (in UTC) that I've received work on one of my computers; 01/03/2017 22:33 Obtained 1 T300 HST WU And these are the HST WU's I've had on my second computer (again, in UTC), since the beginning of March 03/03/2017 10:33 Obtained 2 T000 HST WU's [Edit 1 times, last edit by gb009761 at Mar 14, 2017 4:12:27 AM] |

Well, I certainly wouldn't say that work is "flowing freely", but it's certainly flowing a lot better than it was. Nearly all of those are at xx:03/xx:33 gb. I have had similar results, but those are the only times my computer is asking for work. I will see what happens when instead I let the client decide when to request more work.Since the beginning of March, these are the times (in UTC) that I've received work on one of my computers Cheers |
