I'm going to stick with the 75.7% based on sent batches divided by total batches. That's a straight forward, repeatable number. All that "hooey" about estimated completion date and the amount of time that passed since launch is just that, "hooey". It's WCG's way of saying something that isn't so specific that you can hold them accountable for saying it. Based on their methodology, and of course that is sketchy so you can't hold them accountable for any specific methodology, the percentage would change even if we never completed any batches because it's based on time not on actual work getting done. How accurate is an estimate based on an estimate? I don't understand why they want to make things so hard.... +1 but I'd like to see ECD for all projects written there...not only 6 months in advance! that would abolish all the "here say" about any of the projected ECD we are making here...& it's really not a problem if ECD is this month Sep 2016 & it get postponed to Oct 2016 or we speed up with calcs to Aug 2016, when % are upgraded... so techs & Erika, it's just a suggestion! |

thank you very much...some of us are interested what made a shift from 75+% to 50%...looking forward for the answer... The final batch for the project is still 28679. I did some digging and found a bug in the script which updates the progress complete on the webpage. That bug was preventing this project (and others) from getting updates to their percentage complete. That bug has been fixed and they should be updated regularly again. Also, keep in mind the estimate on the webpage is based on the estimated completion date of the project (currently September for UGM1) and the percentage of time that has passed since the launch of the project to the end date. In some cases that may be different than dividing the current batch being sent by the total batches. Seippel I see the OET progress has now fallen from ~75% to 56%. Is that correct ? Actually no (and thank you for asking - it reminded me it needed to be updated). The researchers increased the total number of batches for the project. I've updated the totals and the website now reflects the new total estimated batches for the project. There are 5463 batches for OET1, but they won't necessarily be run in order (some of the harder batches are being run at the end). Seippel |

Hi Seippel
----------------------------------------You said: The final batch for the project is still 28679 And then The researchers increased the total number of batches for the project. There are 5463 batches for OET1 And the number is less than the first one And this thread is for UGM I am a bit lost

Wrong thread, but the highest I saw passing on my android was 1662, then the usual regression for a while. This makes progress for OET1 30.4% on 5463 batches. Duly integrated into the auto-updating performance charts [still on view ;p]
----------------------------------------Oh, and at average pace since start, about 2018 to finish (to talk about 'no Android worries') [Edit 2 times, last edit by SekeRob* at Jan 14, 2016 6:14:29 PM] |

You are welcome, Anne-Sophie :)

CJSL Crunching to make a difference... here's the new ECD for OET: https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewpostinthread?post=511557 EDIT: as calculation were giving us Aug-Sep 2016 & techs did confirm that ECD is Sep 2016...no mo calcs will be done for UGM, unless something changes! ---------------------------------------- [Edit 1 times, last edit by KLiK at Jan 15, 2016 8:49:08 AM] |
