Both the question and the answer would be graded here as belonging in the scherzo department. The last known batch number was published and that information was incorporated into the dashboard and performance chart. If the information conflicts with the WCG obfuscation spiel, maybe it's time you consider removing the references from the Start Here forum which WERE
"Frequently-Asked-Questions and other useful Readmes created and maintained by the member community. Please read before posting support questions" Latter of course does not apply to a substantial group of forum participants. |

Last batch # reported from techs: 28679 (same as it's been since last summer). Project is approximately 75.2 % complete based on batches. I wouldn't put a lot of faith in the percentage bars as they are usually somewhat inaccurate. Nothing has changed that I've been able to detect but it doesn't mean they won't add batches later.

According to the Research page we have reached halfway through the project tech, admin, scientist: we'd need an update - what is the LAST BATCH of the project?! seems like sthg has changed...so please respond... Thank you, ErikaT Erika, I just love when we ask 1 thing, for example about apple...& you guys from WCG answer about strawberry, as it's also is a fruit! & you do give a 6m notice, on a Research page...like you did for OET! my question was specific, please if you can give us a LAST BATCH of UGM project...so we can keep track of ECD (Estimated Completion Date) here, some few months from now?! to be exact: right now we're about batch number 21.600...please give us a LAST BATCH number, so we can keep track of the project?! thank you Both the question and the answer would be graded here as belonging in the scherzo department. The last known batch number was published and that information was incorporated into the dashboard and performance chart. Please read before posting support questions" Latter of course does not apply to a substantial group of forum participants. yes, LAST BATCH was reported, but back then we we done to 75% of the project...so, something must have changed! as before (check history of UGM project), project was probably expanded...we're down on 50% of completion...so, new batches must be ready for research... as the information must have changed...I'm (& probably some people here also are) interested in expansion of the project...so I'm (if no-one else will) ask these questions: 1. what is the new LAST BATCH number?! 2. please, could you ask scientists to make a statement about expanding of the research on WCG News?! I'd like to share that with my Facebook non-profit organisation group & draw more people in...also, I'd like to share that on tweeter, so get more people in... thank you, Last batch # reported from techs: 28679 (same as it's been since last summer). Nothing has changed that I've been able to detect but it doesn't mean they won't add batches later. well, yeah... BUT, we've been on Research page on 70+%...now the UGM has dropped to 50%, which is GREAT - more Research, more we can donate, more badges, more genome to comparison, etc... so now, that UGM has dropped to 50%, I'd like to know: 1. what is the LAST BATCH?! 'cause it's probably around 40.000 (my estimate)...but I'd like to know the EXACT number of last batch...so we can extrapolate ECD from that... 2. why?! what was added to research?! etc...not in a negative way, I'm just curious person...imagine someone who doesn't read newspapers, but reads only techs & research papers in their free time... so I'm interested when some research goes from 70+% to 50% in questions like: why, what happened, what is new, what will we find out, etc., etc.... thanks, ---------------------------------------- [Edit 2 times, last edit by KLiK at Jan 9, 2016 11:21:55 AM] |

Klik,
----------------------------------------As far as I know, 28679 is the correct number. IIRC, the project, when it began, was projected to last for 20,000 batches. So the number Doneske gave is correct, IMO. AMD Ryzen 5 1600AF 6C/12T 3.2 GHz - 85W AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 4C/8T 2.0 GHz - 28W AMD Ryzen 7 7730U 8C/16T 3.0 GHz |

well 21.600 of 28.679 is not 51%, like it's stated on Research page...something doesn't add up?! Maybe sometimes we just need to accept that things don't add up. As Sekerob once said " Staring at these charts and crystal ball in background can cause mild to considerable discomfort!"

As Sekerob once said " Staring at these charts and crystal ball in background can cause mild to considerable discomfort!" there's one possibility...but it's not on my to tell why we dropped from 70+% to 50%! it's on techs & their calculations...so let's wait to hear from them: "sorry, we messed up...don't set you gauges on batches, set them on .......!" still waiting for it! |
