Since I have recently learned the following information from WCG there is no calculable end date. However I will still attempt to track the progress as it occurs. A big thanks to the WCG staff for making this available.
----------------------------------------Recently another estimated 5,000 batches were added to the project. We are not able to say the exact number of additional batches that will be added in the future, but we are fully expecting to receive more work units for the Mapping Cancer Markers project. The researchers will turn to other cancer-type work units when the current ones near completion. Last 30 day average results:581,719Percentage Complete:Currently listed on the Research page:98% The average length of a WU is currently running about 4.21 hours, exactly the same as last week, but still trending steady around the 4.25 hour mark. The average length of a work unit this past week varied between 4.12 and 4.22 hours. This continues to be remarkably steady. Still have not seen any of the batches from 122278 to 122402. The ovarian units started with 122403 as the lowest number. My latest batch number was 131165 which would give about 202 batches for the week. Production increased a bit this past week going from about 3.91 million WU's to 4.02 million WU's completed. During this past week the time devoted to MCM1 was just over an average of 273 years per day, compared to 269 years per day the previous week. Crunch on. ![]() Cheers

(deleted) Cheers Are you saying that this ECD in link: https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/api/project?shortName=mcm1 on 30th Mar (today) is just end of this particular cancer?! Do we know how much other types of cancer do they think to involve in project? ![]() |

Are there any estimates about just how many work units are in a 'batch'?

The researchers will turn to other cancer-type work units when the current ones near completion. Last 30 day average results:568,868Percentage Complete:Currently listed on the Research page:98% (Although I now see on Wednesday, March 22, it has flipped over to 99%). So far there is no 30 day notice of the end of project from the techs. The average length of a WU is currently running about 4.10 hours, slightly shorter than last week, but now trending steady around the 4.20 hour mark once again a little shorter than last week. The average length of a work unit this past week varied between 4.10 and 4.21 hours. This continues to be remarkably steady. Still have not seen any of the batches from 122278 to 122402. The ovarian units started with 122403 as the lowest number. My latest batch number was 131346 which would give about 181 batches for the week. Production decreased this past week going from about 4.02 million WU's to 3.69 million WU's completed. During this past week the time devoted to MCM1 was just over an average of 251 years per day, compared to 273 years per day the previous week. There are 10,000 work units per batch with a quorum of 2 for validation purposes. Crunch on. ![]() Cheers

"latest batch number was 131346", meaning by Sunday we're done, bar the missed/not missed batches when switching from lung to ovarian and crunching vapor... course not, as since we know the approximate switch points between current and previous target, it stands to reason there's quite a few thousands of batches to go on ovarian, and to repeat the targets on the research front page... oh well, these can go there themselves what's more to come for MCM1 according original planning.

I can't understand why we don't have any information from techs. Is it really that hard to write "we have more work" or "we don't have more work"?

Hi:
Are we scrapping the bottom of the barrel (running low on workunits) yet? Clive |
