Pancreatic Cancer is probably the most lethal one out there of all. I hope this one will be covered. Two of my relatives died from this within three months knowing this cancer.

Since I have recently learned the following information from WCG there is is no calculable end date. However I will still attempt to track the progress as it occurs. A big thanks to the WCG staff for making this available.
----------------------------------------Recently another estimated 5,000 batches were added to the project. We are not able to say the exact number of additional batches that will be added in the future, but we are fully expecting to receive more work units for the Mapping Cancer Markers project. The researchers will turn to other cancer-type work units when the current ones near completion. Last 30 day average results:637,715Percentage Complete:Currently listed on the Research page:94% The average length of a WU is currently running about 4.24 hours, slightly shorter than last week, and still trending steady around the 4 hour mark. In fact, the average length of a work unit continues to vary between 4.15 and 4.29 hours. This continues to be remarkably steady, on par with last week. Still have not seen any of the batches from 122278 to 122402. The ovarian units started with 122403 as the lowest number. My latest batch number was 129319 which would give about 195 batches for the week. Production increased a bit this past week going from about 4.28 million WU's to 4.33 million WU's completed. During this past week the time devoted to MCM1 was just over an average of 298 years per day, compared to 296 years per day the previous week. If I can think of anything else relevant to track, I will try. Any suggestions welcome. ![]() Cheers

From the closest to midnight newly received In Progress on MCM, it seems there's a control that centers on 32 batches per day distribution cap.

According to https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/api/project?shortName=mcm1 the (estimated) completion date is 2017-03-24 (yyyy-mm-dd), unless you meant when the giant comet's gonna hit us. ;-)

The current thinking is there will be additional work coming from the scientists. How much work and the timing of that work are currently unknown. Cheers

The researchers will turn to other cancer-type work units when the current ones near completion. Last 30 day average results:640,190Percentage Complete:Currently listed on the Research page:94% The average length of a WU is currently running about 4.15 hours, slightly shorter than last week, but still trending steady around the 4.25 hour mark. In fact, the average length of a work unit continues to vary between 4.15 and 4.27 hours. This continues to be remarkably steady, even steadier than last week. Still have not seen any of the batches from 122278 to 122402. The ovarian units started with 122403 as the lowest number. My latest batch number was 129544 which would give about 225 batches for the week. Production increased a bit this past week going from about 4.33 million WU's to 4.47 million WU's completed. During this past week the time devoted to MCM1 was just over an average of 308 years per day, compared to 298 years per day the previous week. I am going to do a little black box tinkering and go out on a limb with some speculation. If the present rate of crunching continues, I predict the current batches of work units should end about March 25, 2017. However, bear in mind, there may be a new project starting in the near future (based on the latest beta) which would siphon off some unknown amount of crunching power. If the scientists think they need more crunching done, they may continue to add additional batches of work units, thus extending this project. If I can think of anything else relevant to track, I will try. Any suggestions welcome. ![]() Cheers
