Re: MCM Progress Reports - December 4, 2016 23:59 UTC Update

Since I have recently learned the following information from WCG there is is no calculable end date. However I will still attempt to track the progress as it occurs. A big thanks to the WCG staff for making this available.
Recently another estimated 5,000 batches were added to the project. We are not able to say the exact number of additional batches that will be added in the future, but we are fully expecting to receive more work units for the Mapping Cancer Markers project. The researchers will turn to other cancer-type work units when the current ones near completion.
Last 30 day average results:642,625
Percentage Complete:Currently listed on the Research page:90%
The average length of a WU is currently running about 4.20 hours, slightly longer than last week, and still trending steady around the 4 hour mark. In fact, the average length of a work unit continues to only vary by about 6 minutes all week. This continues to be remarkably steady.
Still have not seen any of the batches from 122278 to 122402. The ovarian units started with 122403 as the lowest number. My latest batch number was 128234 which would give about 223 batches for the week.
Production decreased a bit this past week going from about 4.56million WU's to 4.48million WU's completed. During this past week the time devoted to MCM1 was just over an average of 305 years per day, compared to 309 years per day the previous week. If I can think of anything else relevant to track, I will try. Any suggestions welcome.

Sorry about posting for both November 27 and December 4 on the same day, but my time has not been my own last week. Hopefully this week is not as busy. Now I am up to date for the moment.
Cheers

Re: MCM Progress Reports - January 1, 2017 23:59 UTC Update

I always enjoy the updates, Sgt Joe. Thank you. I'll be sad to see the project end as it is my main project to support, but hopefully these results will bring new research, testing, treatments, and maybe even cures...
