Re: Mapping Cancer Markers - Problems Thread

Recently had one of these marked invalid. Perfectly standard C2D E6300 machine which has never had an invalid before. No restarts were involved. Nothing unusual in the log either.

Re: Mapping Cancer Markers - Problems Thread

There should be plenty of MCM1 workunits available. Are you still encountering an issue getting these work units? What OS are you running that you are seeing this issue?

Thanks,
-Uplinger

For Available projects I have only MCM and CEP checked. FAHV IS NOT CHECKED. Yet from 2/25 to 2/27 I received 57 FAHV WUs. I thought the only way that could happen is if there are no MCM or CEP available when I requested WUs.

One machine running Windows Vista, Three running Windows 7. Only four of nineteen machines I am running received FAHV WUs during this time frame.

I run 7 machines and have seen this on Windows Vista and Windows 7 machines, but not so far on any of the 5 Linux machines.

Sgt.Joe,

As you are a Master, I do not beleave you did not check your device profile, please check again if you check following radio box or not.

If there is no work available for the project(s) I have selected above, please send me work from another project.

If checked, you can avoid to get no other WUs but you have selected by unchecking the item.

Kiyo.

I just got another 65 FAAH and FAHV WUs yesterday and today. The way my profile is set, this should only happen if we run out of MCM WUs. Did MCM run short on 3/2 and 3/3?

Most of the WUs are at 12:21 on 3/2 and 12:21 3/3. Does something happen to MCM at 12:21 the last two days?

I do have checked the option to receive other work if none is available for the project I do have checked. I suspect there is a greater demand for work units for Windows machines than for Linux machines, thus the greater periodic load on the Windows feeder, which evidently can not keep up with the demand at times. For me it is not a problem - not what I want necessarily, but it does keep the machine busy. For others however, they are getting workunits from a project they no longer wish to have. Perhaps if this condition persists, the techs will add an additional feeder for MCM1. Let us see if the techs can diagnose why there are periodic shortages.
Cheers

I agree....I have 76 years of FAAH and am not interested in getting any more. I want to concentrate on MCM and CEP. although I really need a new project to contribute to :)

Re: Mapping Cancer Markers - Problems Thread

I have occasionally received some FAAH recently on a Linux machine that is set to receive only MCM and CEP2 unless neither is available, so it can happen on Linux also.
