Wow, I had no idea on the benchmarks. However I am a bit surprised they are not higher, even comparing Windows with Linux. Here is mine with a several generations older Xeon E5410 on Linux. Wow! indeed, I would also have expected them to be higher, however, running at a clock speed of 3871, the benchmark is not bad at all. My FX8350 is running just over 4400, different CPU's yes, but impressive none the less...Floating Point Speed: 2,329.20 million ops/sec Integer Speed: 12,418.52 million ops/sec I know the integer speed is irrelevant for most of the crunching , but I would have thought the newer ones would be better, but they show lower ???? I had expected the floating point to be lower and it is. Cheers I've noticed the benchmark varies significantly each time its run, even if you do it 3 times on the trot... 20/09/2013 07:14:18 | | Running CPU benchmarksWhile on this occasion they don't vary that much there is still a difference, so it can only be used as a guide. BTW, this is one of my other machines running at 4014
