Re: 8 Billion & Counting

Sorry Mamajuanauk, I have lost your details, but is you send your number to me at tom.nuttall@btinternet.com then I will get back to you. Nice to hear from you again.

Great to see you back crunching Tom.
Having got my Sapphire Covid badge, I've now mostly switched back to MCM. I'm approaching 40 years on that, which means my first (and probably only) Diamond 50 is starting to look feasible.

Re: I'm starting a new project build!

Which current projects have small/short w/u's?

Probably Open Pandemics.
Cheers

Really, that’s disappointing as initial tests with OP were very slow

Thanks

Re: 8 Billion & Counting

- Wreckfest (this is hilarious fun)
- Assetto Corsa Competizione (not actually tried this yet, will try later in the week sometime) biggrin

How are you getting on Thargor?
Ready for a bit of practice racing?
Might just get Wreckfest. Carnage is good for relieving stress!

I've not done much racing the past 2 weeks, so trying hard to keep my driving skills sharp this weekend. Did very well, in fact I think I may have turned a corner, literally, going around corners at a much faster rate of knots than ever before with complete car control. There are a couple of corner types I'm still struggling with though, off-camber right handers and U-turns, just can't seem to hit the brakes at the right place so I end up nearly stopping or running on a bit.

If I'm honest, I've been very lax with getting the rig set up to do any racing - my headaches have been off/on recently, and lifting the heavy computer-chair to remove two wheels (to fit the chair to the frame) seems to flare them up quite badly.

As such, I've been playing more Lord of the Rings Online rather than racing, although still intend to do some more soon, hopefully.

Sounds like you're nicely getting the hang of it, I might get there one day! smile

Re: 8 Billion & Counting

Guys, I'm setting up a Ubuntu system and cannot get the boinc client to download any work. What am I missing?

I've done these commands:

--project_attach
--set_network_mode always
--set_run_mode always
--project WorldCom...….org update
--project WorldCom...….org allowmorework
--project WorldCom...….org update
Any suggestions?

Thanks

I changed the URL a few years ago and the redirection might not be working I suppose.
