Re: Good morning everyone

Good morning everyone.

Welcome banham

Tom and others, how many points per hour are you receiving for MIP? After loading the app_config script, MIP was working fine with approximately 1h30m run time. However my points per hour were somewhere south of 10! I am told that this is something to do with the previous (poor) performance when I was crunching 8 cores for MIP and that the points yield will recover slowly. Has anyone an opinion on this?

Re: Good morning everyone

I have been concentrating on SCC lately Rod but previously it was working out at 102 points per hour over 96 cores. That's from my servers. I will try a day on my PC from tomorrow and let you know the result.

Re: Good morning everyone

I've just stopped running MIP1, entirely, due to the memory usage. This can be seen quite clearly in my "Memory Available" server-graph, as below:

Can you tell when I stopped running MIP1?

Good morning all.
Yes Thargor I think I can! What software did you use to generate the graph and do you know if it is available for a Mac? I'd be interested to see how 2 MIP threads affect my memory - on this Mac I have 16Gb

It's a standard MRTG install, looks like you can get it via the App Store:

http://macappstore.org/mrtg/

I'd assume the configs are similar for Linux and Mac, let me know if you have any issues.

Re: Good morning everyone

Morning team, been a bit quiet on the forums the past 2 days

Finally going to get on the All time Leader board for runtime by tomorrow, (sorry ChrisUK), getting about 37 days runtime each day which is great. Slowly but surely rising up the tables, there is a massive 45 million points required before I move up the points chart though, Dave's predictor shows that is will take about 135 days to do.. I have limited my Mips as it really is a bit of a resource hog, and concentrating on SCC.

Dave, how about adding a "Next Badges" Predictor page to the stats?
Could be too much work though.

Sorry Steven, that's not possible. The overall summary data is available publicly, and that's what my surprisingly reliable stats program gathers smile, but a user's individual/personal project breakdowns aren't... you have to be logged in to retrieve that information.
On an unrelated note, my Windows 10 desktop has upgraded itself to the latest Creators Update, and a) broke the networking (fixed that fairly easily), and b) will no longer resume from standby (video totally screwed, can't fix that, replacing it with Linux Mint over the weekend).

Re: Good morning everyone

Thats a very good reason for not being able to do it, also no one can predict how much work is to be released for any project.
