How many points per day does the AMD Opteron box produce as its sounds like a beast of a cruncher? Best day this week for the AMD: Days: 0:074:19:16:38, points: 267,638, results: 771 Average day: days: 0:063:12:13:48, points: 222,834, results: 611 The two foxconn dual Intels from bargain hardware are going to about match it's performance for 30% less power draw though: Average day: days: 0:031:06:43:16, points: 105,881, results: 294 2687v3 is a nice processor but still pricey and your stats coupled with mine suggest daily run time in days about matches processor cores/threads regardless within reason, of the age of the cpu wihch makes the soon to be released AMD Zen Naples 32 core 64 thread proc all the more interesting for around £400 each ---------------------------------------- [Edit 5 times, last edit by reduk at Feb 17, 2017 7:20:02 AM] |

Just had a look at Dave's stats page and saw on the "Badges gained in the last week" page has 25 new badges of which 2 are for Zika, 2 for Ebola and 21 for Smash Child Cancer. Wonder where the crunching power is going  I think that's because it's a lot easier to earn a Gold badge than a Diamond 20 :-)

I'm selling two Dell C6100's with 8 x X5650 & 16Gb or RAM may be some more too How much are they going for Mamajuanauk? I have no idea what they're worth now. Maybe, I'll include some HDD's and look for around £6oo for the 3.5 HDD version a little more for the 2.5 HDD version. Open to offers. PM me in interested

I am interested, in fact I was looking them up on ebay I don't know enough about them to make an informed decision yet, Like operating system etc. Just want them for crunching, then I could retire some of my older (and slower) PCs I don't have your address to PM you, mine is tom.nuttall@btinternet.com |
