Good Morning All.
----------------------------------------Dave you music taste is far too modern for me. I'm still into Clapton, The Animals, Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard as well as Taj Mahal, Big Bill Broonzy, Rory Gallagher, Gary Moore, Jethro Tull, Santana (compulsory here but I have been listening to them since my Uni days ('67 - '72)). I do like Enigma and - for my modern stuff Adele.

Even though I am a child of the 80's, my musical tastes are wide and varied, but does trend to the older heavy bands, Black Sabbeth , Led Zepplin Deep Purple etc
----------------------------------------Mettallica was a revelation for me in mid 80's and I even enjoy some modern heavies like Blake and Viking Skull. /my favourite band is AC/DC with Bon Scott (pre 1980). Yet I like folk-rock and irish fiddley dee (had the FOS Brothers play for my 30th birthday) and many classical pieces. ![]() |

Oye Como Va, Rod?
----------------------------------------![]() Actually, I bought the new Santana album (oddly named IV) a couple of days ago, and last week I bought a Stevie Ray Vaughan compilation. I have eclectic tastes. I struggle with heavy rock a little Darkmatter, (assuming you don't count The Darkness), but can happily listen to Deep Purple, and more modern stuff like Muse. I definitely won't stretch to Hip Hop. My favourite genre is celtic folk rock and celtic fusion (Runrig, Peatbog Faeries, Shooglenifty, Wolfstone etc). Odd semi-fact... the aunt of the Black Sabbath drummer lived a couple of doors down from me as a child, and after she died I ended up with her spare bed following the house clearance sale. Therefore, I may well have slept in the same bed as (I think his name was) Bill Ward.

My mother was asked out on a date by Mick Jagger, in Belfast in 1963, but turned him down because she thought he was ugly.

My mother was asked out on a date by Mick Jagger, in Belfast in 1963, but turned him down because she thought he was ugly. Did he introduce himself by saying "Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a man of wealth and taste" ? Your mother was definitely right though.

Maybe, though they were not that wealthy or tasteful or famous in 1963.
----------------------------------------Sympathy For The Devil was released in 1969, I think. ![]() |

A bit late up today in a bit of a fragile condition after celebrating Leicester lad Mark Selbey second world snooker title, and oh yeah I think there was something else as well. But things still a bit hazy.
