Ah, didn't realise you were disabled (am I allowed to call it that?)
Sounds like you need to buy a few of those new 8TB disks.

By all means Dave , Chronic Neuralgia is the medical name for the nerve damage in my chest and back. I am in constant pain every second of everyday, Thank god for Morphine, or I would not be able to get out of bed. Been this way for 15 years now, I have learnt to live with it.

I have a "thing" for storage, nothing pleases me more than brand new HD's, in all their variations. The first HD I bought was 40MB for £500 to go into an Acorn Archimedes.
Seems incredulous with today’s massive drives being so cheap.

I calculate that I am about 3 weeks away from getting my first Diamond badge.
Oh, I have decided to get the HTC 10.

That sounds unpleasant Darkmatter. As I get older I find I suffer regularly from chronic nostalgia, which I tend to treat with alcohol. Sorry to make light of your condition, but I hope that made you smile.

I know what you mean about storage. I still have a Western Digital "Velociraptor" - which in its day was the fastest domestic mechanical hard disk in the world - and rather sadly I look fondly upon it and can't throw it away. It's still pretty quick, but only 600GB, and my next upgrade will include a 500GB NVMe beast. Maybe I could turn it into a piece of artwork.

Well done for not getting a Samsung. I've never liked them biggrin

Good morning team

Good morning everyone. smile

Had an entertaining morning during upgrading to latest version of Kubuntu 16.04. System alerter said 16.04 was available and would I like to upgrade so said yes. At start the wonderfully optimistic download (and wrong) would take about 25 mins, that was wrong, it took an hour and half. With the download complete it asked if I wanted to proceed saying with dreadful pessimism (and wrong) that the upgrade would take 5 hours, lo and behold it only took 1hr and 35mins. Timing has possibly never Canonicals best suit. biggrin

Still got to work out how get my multi-function printer to connect. Happy days.

Oh heck and darn (not the words I would really like to say but this is a relatively polite forum) the upgrade went well. I am now stuck with getting the OS to understand that there are security updates it needs to tell me about. Still got the printer problem to resolve, it is tedious to have to copy to USB stick then get one the Windows machine to print. All this whilst cutting down on the ciggies, still could be worse the wine running out. smile

I had two 75GB Velociraptors which I ran in raid0, Fastest Desktop drives around, they lasted 8 years. Still have one which I want to take apart some day.
With the rise of SSD's such drives are now redundant.

I had a Samsung 3, one of the worst phones I have ever owned, which helped in my decision. HTC have their foibles but I love how easy it is to install custom roms and set the phone up exactly how I like it. One app I cannot do without is called adaway it stops advertisements in other apps completely, via a hosts file.

Re: Good morning team

Good Morning All.

Is anyone else having problems with HSTB? I seem to be getting an inordinate number of 'Invalid' evaluations. I'm not sure quite how many because 'Results Status' does not seem to display more than about 30 results.
Of 136 results credited I have seen more than 10 Invalid results (on all 3 MACs) which I have never experienced with any other project I have crunched for WCG. In addition the average points / h yield is about 105 (on my machines) which is mean in the extreme. Since I've been doing HSTB my average has dropped from over 12,000 a day to 8,500 and my performance stat from 120 down to 85 Gflops. Something wrong there.

I have taken the (reluctant) decision to stop HSTB for the moment while they get their ducks in a row.

Thought for the day Dave - Nostalgia ain't what it used to be.

Good morning everyone. smile

Rod: Not getting any errors on HSTB but find that the number of work units received seems to be quite random, when credits are given they are invariably greater (sometimes by greater than a third) than claimed. Someone make sense out of that. smile

Re: Good morning team

Rod/Domonijo... Despite having 11 threads set to accept MCM and HSTB units, I'm getting no more that 3 or 4 HSTB units a week. However, of the tiny number I've got, they've all worked. However, looking at those units on the website, other people seem to be getting errors, so maybe I've just been lucky.
You've gone gold Domonijo. Shame you can't combine your two alter egos.
