Good afternoon everyone.
![]() A bit late up today in a bit of a fragile condition after celebrating Leicester lad Mark Selbey second world snooker title, and oh yeah I think there was something else as well. But things still a bit hazy. Nothing like against the odds result to cheer any football supporter (i am an Owls supporter). Congratulations to Leicester City, I do not bet but the odds 5,000 - 1 may have tempted me. ![]() |

After last season I would have bet on them to be in a relegation battle again. But it does appear we are living in strange times. Actually very strange times. Just a shame that Jamie Vardy didn't invite me to watch the game I only live 10 minutes walk away.
Also puts pressure on the rugby team. We don't mention the cricket team. |

Leicester to win the Champions League next season? If they do, I'll present Match of the Day in my underpants! Not sure anyone would want see that but be careful what you say it may come back to bit you. Ask Gary Lineker. I wonder if Lineker has sent the Chelsea team box's of snacks to slow them down for the last game. |

My god, I feel like I'm dying., I have been taking opiates in one form or another for about 14 years. Now I am changing to an new medication called Tapentadol but first had to reduce my opiates slowly over 12 days. It hurt a lot. Started Tapentadol on Monday morning. All I can say is I now know how hard it is for Heroin and Morphine addicts to go clean. I have nausea, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, dry mouth, hallucinations and worst of all an unrelenting itching in all my joints and muscles, I cannot stay still for more than 20 seconds when I have to get up and flex my arms and legs for some relief from this itching.
----------------------------------------I have been awake since 4:45am and will not get any sleep tonight and possibly tomorrow as well.. Oh, and absolutely no pain relief yet from this supposedly very strong medication. I honestly did not think I was so addicted to morphine as I was taking very controlled amounts, nowhere near as much as an abuser would use. WCG, Please do some research for new drugs to combat Chronic Neuralgia. Things should improve for me by Thursday or Friday, I don't think I could stay sane if it doesn't. ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Darkmatter.NI at May 3, 2016 7:11:13 PM] |

To help keep my mind of my troubles, tell me your favourite car Mine is the Bentley Mulsanne Speed, just need the £260,000 to buy one :) Sorry to hear about your troubles Darkmatter. My wide was on morphine for a while, and the doctors assured us that if you take it for pain you don't get addicted. However, I guess 14 years is a lot different to a couple of months. I hope the new drug soon kicks in. Regarding cars, I always wanted a Porsche 911. As a child I had a huge poster on my wall, and they haven't changed much in 35 years (although they are much more capable these days). When my wife died last year (and I received my share of a house that was 1/3 mine) I was suddenly in a position to buy one... but I bottled out in the end. My tastes are a bit more modest than yours... 911 Carrera 4, BMW M2, Golf R, or if I was feeling environmental then a Tesla Model S or a BMW i8. All £100,000 or less (or thereabouts). Bargain compared to a Bentley.

To help keep my mind of my troubles, tell me your favourite car Mine is the Bentley Mulsanne Speed, just need the £260,000 to buy one :) Good evening all. Hmm - favorite car? I always had a thing about the Lotus Super 7 (now Caterham 7) but when I could afford one (top of the range £37,000) I saw sense that a 60+ year old driving a roller-skate with a 500Hp / ton power to weight ratio and with your head at a lower point than most lorry wheels was not a good recipe for survival. Then my mind gravitated towards a Subaru Impreza with the ProDrive power pack (at £27,000) but at that point I went to work in Egypt for 4 years and by the time I finished (and emigrated to Bolivia) it was too late. All I want now is a long wheelbase Land Rover heavily festooned with girders and let's see who tries to cut me up at a roundabout then!

Thank you for your kind words, it encourages me to get through it.
----------------------------------------Well, I slept for 2 hours last night which is 2 more than expected, the next 24 hours is the hardest, then the symptoms will ease, The double wammy of withdrawal and the full brunt of my nerve pain is unbearable, yet it has to be done. The new medication is not addictive. I like the look of the Lexus TomNuttall and seems reasonably priced as well. Is it comfortable to drive on long journeys? Haven't really looked into electric cars dcrobinson, I did see a couple of documentaries on how the Tesla and BMW i8 was made, very interesting. RTS48 , I live in a rural community and the amount of large Land Rovers and BMW X series cars driving around is astonishing, I had a Suzuki Grand Vitara for a number of years, which I took off-road on numerous occasions and helped pull out cars stuck in snow a few years ago, but had to get rid of it because it was playing havoc with my condition. I am too embarrassed to tell you the family-mobile I currently drive. ![]() [Edit 2 times, last edit by Darkmatter.NI at May 4, 2016 6:55:28 AM] |
