Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

Based on that number, the dash is now printing 9 days [was 13 on Sunday]. Will be interesting to see how many days it takes after 19131 goes out, before the returns start to tail off. Sure looks like the techs are putting an unlimited amount into the feeder to satisfy anyone's buffer vacuum.

(Maybe they're up against a September 21 press conference deadline ;-P)

P.S., Inglisede, frequently you write "then", and the context of the line suggests it has to be "when"... "now when busy with CFSW".

You're not the 1st. that's commented on my screwing-up then and when, SereKob.

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

Boy, this is REALLY going to be tight for me to reach Ruby - as I believe I need ~9 days where WU's are flowing into my well stocked cache to see me through...

This is the time when I'd love to see a flood of DDDT2/Beta work flowing - as then that may stem the rapidly declining tide of CFSW WU's available...

YIKES... I just noticed that I have downloaded the following:

9/3/2012 10:44:25 AM World Community Grid Finished download of cfsw_17308_17308796_D17308796 .sql

This project is going way too fast... I'm still 20 days from gold (which I was hoping to crunch in about 10 days). AARRGGG !!!! Where is a time machine when you need one ??? biggrin

CJSL

Crunching for a better tomorrow...

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

cjslman, you are right in that this is going way too fast..there must be some big caches out there. Luckily, I have only two more calendar days of 10 WU days each to cross the line for emerald, and I am just running the default 1/2 day cache. Soon as I get green, then I am returning everything left over for all those who need to crunch on. Good luck everyone!

Yow! Ingleside, I appreciate your daily reports (even though this one definitely isn't what I wanted to hear!).

Seeing very few of these since I've switched to other projects after getting sapphire but that I'm getting them at all means the techs are pushing a lot through the feeders.

Nothing scientific behind my statement: I propose that the closer a project gets to its projected end, the number of cached units go up exponentially. My prediction is two full weeks of normal rates of return before we start seeing the last cleanup just due to caching.

Re: Computing for Sustainable Water project nearing completion

I'm seeing a growing number of CFSW WUs in Pending Validation since I aborted those four problem WUs this weekend. I guess I'll helping the cause of those of you pushing the deadlines - you are now all becoming my wingmen.....Looks like based on deadlines for all the wingmen I'm waiting on that 9/07 could be a big day for me since almost everything I've got in Pending Validation has this end date tied to it. At least I'll know by the next weekend if I make Gold. Good luck to the rest of you crunchers posting here that you still make it under the wire... biggrin
