My ATI cards got betas. My Nvidia card none.
----------------------------------------FWIW when I fire up GPU Temp it shows 0% load while the WU is crunching. It almost looks like it's running as a CPU task.

My ATI cards got betas. My Nvidia card none. Same here.. Even got one on my OLD 4350 card.. Should be done in 17hrs    Oops 4350 WU's just went belly-up. (I had slim hopes for that card)  [Edit 1 times, last edit by PecosRiverM at Mar 13, 2012 8:53:28 PM] |

Maybe everyone starts at min. 2 daily until validated and reset tomorrow?
Dont really know, but this may be how they keep it light, or to get as many different cards as possible. Just my thoughts |

I'm confused
---------------------------------------- I have a beta on my laptop that seems to be running on the CPU (i7-2720QM) not the GPU (Quadro 1000M) Is that possible ? ETA 2+ hours ??? BETA_X0000131280548201112141250 The GPU temp has not gone up even 1 degree and also it is running with 7 other CPU tasks. The laptop only has a Quadro 1000M and the Desktop got no betas but has a GTX560 Ti and got zero betas so far ??? [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Mar 13, 2012 8:53:01 PM] |

Should be done in 17hrs This is interesting and could be helpful to others to know what your working configuration is. As I've had a 4850 error out running the latest AMD GPU drivers and an old install of xp with BOINC 7.0.3. I suspect the windows install to be part of the problem on this machine.  |

It's in a Old Vista x86 system CAL ATI Radeon HD 4350/4550 (R710) (512MB) driver: 1.4.1385 Don't know if that will help anyone..since it did error. Just to remind everyone - we are sending both CPU and GPU application versions as part of this test. We need to see how the credit logic behaves. We have gotten through a long ways into the test and it appears that there is a short window where the credit logic behaves pretty poorly. In particular, during the time that GPU results were returning and being validated but before the CPU results were being returned and validated, the credit claimed per result jumped to 100-200 credit per result. Once there were enough CPU results back it dropped back down to 30 +/-.

For those seeing high CPU time can you verify that you are not running a cpu workunit. This can be verified by looking at the tasks tab on the advanced view of the BOINC client. If the task is GPU it will have either ATI or NVIDIA in parenthesis after the task name. The GPU version will use cpu at the start for a bit to do some initial things but it should start to use GPU only once the % complete begins to increment.
