App 1-2 months my friend but I have come up with a name for this PC:Megalodon
The Beast that can eat all others.. biggrin
Dum-Dum
( Jaws mussic playing in the background)

<Perk> It's March.... wink

LOL, I forgot all about this thread.
The "1-2 months" stretched out a little to May1 but it did happen.
Now as to the 200,000PPD claim that also didn't happen but 135,000PPD did just on cpu and with the addition of an old 5870 vid card I did make it to app 250,000PPD.
This is the machine:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthrea...A-dual-socket-2011-Beast!
Next step with this is a pair of 15 core IB xeons when I can find them and those should be WAY over 200,000PPD..
Also looking for one of those Intel Xeon PHI cards to test and see if it will work on WCG

Re: Over 200'000 ppd at home - This is for you

I guess I'll chime in here, seeing as this is the first time I've seen this thread.

I got into Folding@Home a couple of years ago and got hooked with all of the excitement of using typical hardware for scientific research. Next thing you know, I've got a home made rack and 10 computers around the house. There are quad core LGA 775 boards through hexa core X58 boards and NVIDIA 9800 GPUs to 590s, and a couple of AMD rigs thrown in the mix in the last couple of months. The introduction of GPU on HCC got me motivated to get the 7870 and 7970 to see first hand what AMD GPUs could do on crunching.

Well, with 95% of my resources currently going to HCC, this is what is has been producing so far this month (Note: dip on the 9th was a power outage while I was at work.).

EDIT:
Figured I'd add a pic of the rack. Everybody seems to get a kick out of it.

You are indeed 15 times over, well into the club. Congratulations and awesome rig you have there, nightly piled up and a main console to drive all of it.

I start thinking that I may have to upgrade the entry ticket into the club. biggrin

Re: Over 200'000 ppd at home - This is for you

I am currently doing around 3,000,000 WCG ppd. This is mainly do to GPU processing. Prior to GPU processing I was about 450,000 WCG ppd. My hobby is building machiens from parts, when they are done, I stick them on WCG 24x7. All of my machines are in my house, and built from parts with the exception of two laptops.

Here is a list of the machines, I have a mix of AMD and Intel

My electric bill is huge, over $800 per month in the summer....but I have a smalll gas bill, only $26 last month. I do not think our heat has gone on yet, due to all of the heat generated by the computers.

Better I do not talk about mine, which is way over that. My house has electrical heating so I have no ther energy bills. Just electricity. In a sense my house is producing zero carbon at its place and emissions are zero too. smile

Hypernova,
It looks like you are going to overtake me in 10 days. Do you really have all of those 980s in your house?
