Re: Over 200'000 ppd at home - This is for you

Well depending on how the new credit system works out, I may very well join this club. Today's results reported 3/4 of my normal run time and accumulated 196k points.

Re: Over 200'000 ppd at home - This is for you

Yesterday I was just for one day in the 2'000'000 ppd club biggrin just behind MakeCuresHappen. Only 70'000 points of difference between us. Me with 36 registered devices and them with 64'000 registered devices.
I must say that it is strange to be so near when for so long they were on top as number one for the daily output and impossible to reach. Kind of David and Goliath. As everybody knows David won. wink

Looking at mine I have roughly a third more points for 3 days now..... I was going to say that you might need to move your 200,000 ppd target higher?

Another week or so and we will all see what the true effect has been

Definitely. There may even be winners and losers in the hardware stakes.

The trend is borne out so far in XS Top Host Stats; https://sites.google.com/site/xtremewcghosts/home?pli=1 where already I see 500pts more RAC.

My 2600K is still behind your 980X which, I suppose, is as it should be wink

Re: Over 200'000 ppd at home - This is for you

After flirting with it for a couple days, I finally broke 300k.

Oddly enough it's only in the last four days that I've seen the increase in points from the server upgrade. Guess it finally got enough results to start assigning points.

Re: Over 200'000 ppd at home - This is for you

I wonder if with GPU computing this 200'000 ppd at home thread should move to a different value or is it still as challenging.

In the Yesterday listing the number of members in the 200k ppd club are now 456, way more then when I started this thread 1st Jan 2012.

Objective for 2012 I had posted back than was to be in the top 50 club. Target achieved a few days ago at 47. Should improve in the late thirties by years end.

It would be interesting to hear how some of you outside this limit are now way over it and how you did it.

Re: Over 200'000 ppd at home - This is for you

Before GPU-land, I was only doing in the 50-60k range, and that was with 4 2P servers and 4 PC's. Now I'm in the 400-500k range with the same number of rigs but adding 5 7xxx series cards. That's pretty much the whole story right there - and multithreading the GPU's via an app_info file of course.

edit: Ah, just realized that this thread is talking about WCG points and I was talking BOINC points. So to translate then, before I guess I was doing 350-420k ppd and now it's 2800-3500k. Hmmm. I'm feeling oddly embarrassed at posting such numbers.

I was doing about 30k, but that drop when my 5850 died and took one PC with it. My main system with 5870CF lost both GPUs which waiting for HCC GPU to start. I replaced the two 5870s with a 7870 GHz edition after the beta test. Now, doing about 500k now. I have one other PC running only CPU WUs.
