Re: "The survivors"

little mermaid,
You had a BSOD?
I had a BSODWOTBSIWMBDT.

Coffee problems seem to be quite prevalent with you.
Do you have an explanation for that?
Is there a reason why karma is having such a vendetta against you?

Re: "The survivors"

Oh, you had a
bluescreenofdeathwithothertroublesbutsooniworkedmybluedenturestired
- which means you chewed smartly through that little problem, rcc
- only what I expected from this renaissance man from Georgia ....

It is not true to say I have coffee problems
- actually I had none such, on the contrary I would say
until Lidl discontinued the "Kenya-Guatemala-Columbia" blend.

The explanation for that problem is pure cold calculating on the part of Lidl!
It is easy to see why they don't answer me. They do not want to admit to such coldheartedness ...
I need/crave coffee to stay awake when I'm too tired to sleep and cannot wake up,
and it might as well be the one caressing my taste buds at the most skillfulll ....

Oh, is karma having a vendetta with me?
I better sort that out with the guys from Corleone and Blackstone Boulevard ...

Re: "The survivors"

little mermaid,
I had a bluescreenofdeathwithoutthebluescreenitwasmybluedesktop.
And there was no death as the mouse worked, and there were no error messages.
I think it was a near blue screen of death experience.

You do have a coffee problem in that your tastebuds require a discontinued blend.
You can correct that by drinking black french roast for a couple of days.
After that any coffee will taste good.

If you are too tired to sleep and can't wake up you have invented a third state.
Asleep, awake, alittlemermaid.

If this can't be explained by karma, what then?

Re: "The survivors"

My BSOD story...
A friend of mine gave me their old Dell desktop, which I refurbished and re-loaded WIndows XP on for my neighbor... As we were at their house putting a new DVD drive in the refurbished computer, their old computer displayed a blue screen of death (I actually happened to be looking at it when this happened) and died its final death. We've swapped out everything but the motherboard and CPU (which are not worth replacing) and it will not come back up. My neighbor is just lucky that we had already gotten all their files off before the final BSOD.

Re: "The survivors"

Hmmmmmm... vacuum tubes?
I'm taking my 6L6 and 12AX7 down to the 7-11 to test.
Sometimes the emitters stop emitting.
I can't keep up with the technology;
just the other day I completed my 8-track library.

Re: "The survivors"

I'll give that French Roast some serious thought, rcc,
stress them spoiled taste buds into submission! devilish

Blue Screen of Near Death experiences should be told to Elizabeth Kübler-Ross,
who unfortunately passed away eight years ago, but may collect hi-tech evidence where she is now.

And, by golly, I really think my karma is broken - tonight Jensen's Beef House
served me the most untender veal steak I ever had ; hard veal, gimme a break ... crying
What should I do about that karma, rcc? You know everything.
Can you fix a broken karma at a distance? Or should I simply shut up?

No news from Potsdam yet ...sad
I may need to involve Rheinland-Pfalz and das Ruhr Gebiet as well thinking
