Here's a thought!
----------------------------------------What if Lidl discontinued the Melangerie de Luxe "Kenya-Guatemala-Columbia" because the manufacturer stopped producing it? What if the manufacturer realized that there is no country "Columbia"? In that case, where did the Columbia beans really come from? Columbia, South Carolina? Colombia, South America? I went to the supermarket today and walking past the beer aisle (I don't drink), there on the shelf was Blueberry Lager, a fruit and vegetable beer. Sounds disguisting to me. http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/29/26049 ![]() ![]() Please join the team The survivors ![]() |

rcc, you always ask the most delightful, intrigueing questions.
----------------------------------------1. My German Potsdam connection and a friend of hers says it's there, but only available in coffee pads which requires - I assume - a coffee maker that requires coffee pads. It is available - which you'll see from the EDIT of my previous posting - in Russia, which turns out not to be Russia proper but Belorussia my extremely intelligent Exeter, UK, Polish friend's mother's homeland. I'm afraid going to Belorussia may turn out more difficult than going to Russia inasmuch as they may have the invitation requirement as well, but I have no source for such. But if I get an invitation to go to Finland, where it's not a requirement at all but an opportunity and an occasion to visit this Nordic country, Belorussia would not be out of the way if I expand on my sketchy plan of going counterclockwise around the Baltic Sea. So no: The manufacturer did not stop making it. And I'm certain the manufacturer will accomodate to Lidl's desires. 2. Manufacturers cannot wipe out Hugo Chavez's country. 3. Columbia, South Carolina, is peaches and tobacco. Columbia, Ohio, is the Mayo Clinic and too cold for coffee. Hugo Chavez's country is it. At one point I drank pure Columbia coffee which was very good, but the blend without a shelf space in Danish Lidls takes the prize. 4. Just for your info: Base Camp's newest Camper is from Hawaii where he grows coffee. The mere thought of Blueberry Lager is convulsing. Is that Anheuser-Busch's attempt at going microbrewer? Suzuzi motorbikes? Base Camp truly is a wonderful country. We also have a camper who just - in addition to the one Ducati he already owns - took delivery of this beautiful animal ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jan 31, 2012 8:47:56 PM] |

In less than 4 months you have 6 bronze and 2 silver badges.
----------------------------------------Very good! It will be a slower process getting a badge in Beta. DDDT2 is another that comes as "rain". ![]() ![]() Please join the team The survivors ![]() |
