Re: "The survivors"

Bow down my head deep in shame ... blushing
- how low can you sink
- soon I'll meet them in the Mariana Trench devilish

The good news is:
- they did not try to change their charming behaviour too much
- they gave them a sort of a British accent, I believe
OH BOY - GOOD GRIEF - what shall come next
beat up

Re: "The survivors"

shock Oh, that's were they went ....
- all our prettiest young women rose
- you seduced them with Zero Coke and tofu ...
But you trained them well, I must admit ...
They do a far better samba than our
polar-bear-on-his-way-to-a-public-restroom-in-a-perkele-hurry dancing
When can we have them back?
We need them so we don't end up as the ugliest tribe on Earth ... please ...

Re: "The survivors"

In typical viking fashion if you want them you will have to come and get them.
It seems that a bunch of rowdies from Minnesota have taken a liking to them and won't give them up without a fight.
Bring your lunch as they seem to be an angry crowd due to sitting on an inverted metal bucket while ice fishing.
That much cold applied in that fashion is bound to numb more than their judgement.

Re: "The survivors"

They are tough, tho, them Minnesotans
- tougher than me, but as far as I have experienced
- a friendly bunch, many with a Viking ancestry
I did notice the fishing fashion
- they couldn't pay me enough to do that
- and us Vikings probably supplied some of the genetic material
in the first place
- we better let them dancers fish in funny ways and you, rcc, and I will watch them dance
.... a longwinded way in which to say: I don't dare go get 'em
blushing

Re: "The survivors"

Extended BOINC Server Outage Planned from 21:30 UTC Jan 13 through 8:00 UTC Jan 14th
http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/viewthread_thread,32388
In the past they have had outages last up to 3 days.
Changed my preferences to download 2 days of extra work, just to get past this planned outage.
Based on experience I would not recommend downloading more than 3 days.
I tried 10 days during a challenge and BOINC was missing due dates because it has a strange way of picking items to run next.
BOINC will pick items with due dates up to 10 days away and skip over something due tomorrow.
It gets so far behind it can't catch up.
After this event I will go back to my usual setting of 0.5 days extra work.

Re: "The survivors"

Myself, I am beyond redemption but you may still turn out to be something.
MIT offers free online course material.
It does not provide a degree or certificate but it is real MIT courses.
You do not have access to faculty and are pretty much on your own.
This material is worth $$$ but is offered free for the taking.
Take a look, there may be something you always wanted to know more about.
There are a great range of subjects.

Re: "The survivors"

DDDT2 is an intermittent project for which I have no badge.
There are a few work units showing up in the downloads.
At the current rate I will have a Sapphire in DDDT2 on 11/8/2035.

Re: "The survivors"

yes DDDT2 is intermitant... but you have to set up your computer special to get them... you download 1 day of normal work units... shift your stats to only DDDT2 and request another day of work... 8-12 hours later you set your project back to normal... if dddt2 are out there you should have grabbed about 4 - 12 hours of work.
